Really nice and budget friendly CPU. As of the time giving this review the CPU is pair with a nice z690 motherboard. At this price point the CPU is worth having.

Expensive when it’s not on sale, especially when Alder Lake still has so many issues with memory

This is a great CPU for gaming and even multithreaded workloads. It outperforms the previous gens i7 in most applications and the drivers haven't even fully matured yet. If you're lucky you can even find it for just over 220 (assuming because of the lack of affordable z690 boards. If you want an in depth review of the performance, check out Gamer's Nexus, but this cpu overs probably the best price-performance ratio for most users. The i7 and and i9 yield diminishing returns with gaming and should only be considered as an alternative if you're doing intensive multithreaded workloads and can take advantage of 20+ threads. The the extra "efficiency" cores are a nice alternative over virtual threads for multitasking. Power draw is a bit high for this class of CPU, but from my testing they don't run hot. I use it in a small form factor case with a beefy aircooler and I'm not passing 62c in benchmarks or stress-testing. The only major downsides are currently the bugs with some Denuvo games (though I'd blame that more on the bad Denuvo software) and the lack of cheap compatible motherboards. Either wait until the b and h series boards come out or try to get a bundle deal/sale on one of the cheaper z690 boards.

It has incredible performance for the price. A CPU thay I can OC to 5100mhz easy and safe is awesome. Some people are complaining about the heat, but if you have a good CPU cooler then your defenitly fine. Super pleased with this thing. Intel has certianly taken back the crown for the time being.

This is a very fast processor. I assemble my own computer so that my daughter will know how to do it. My philosophy is either assemble a cheap one and regret later or assemble a middle cost which will be useful later. I opted for the one that will be useful and that I Used the onboard graphics since this processor supports that. Completely satisfied with this product.

Great CPU for gaming on 1440p. You will need to buy a fan for this CPU. Most CPU air fan coolers around $35 should be strong enough to keep this CPU cooled even when overclocked.
