The tech behind this cpu is the first time in the desktop world that intel has changed since 2015 and it shows. Finally intel is back on the top of the charts again and I hope this trend continues between intel and AMD. These Alderlake cpus are the ones to buy right now (you dont need a DDR5 board) if you are looking for a top tier gaming/workstation PC. That might change in the future but right now these are the cpus to get.

No need to get the i9 for gaming, general use and even productivity unless you have some specific requirements

Upgrading to Alder Lake

Although a Z690 motherboard is expensive for this cpu, it is still worth it considering the amount of features available.
