The Intel Core i7-14700K is a powerhouse of a processor, offering impressive performance across the board. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Right out of the box, the i7-14700K delivers outstanding speed and responsiveness, making it a fantastic choice for gaming, content creation, and multitasking. With its high core count and clock speeds, it handles demanding applications and heavy workloads with ease. The performance boost is noticeable compared to previous generations, and it pairs well with high-end GPUs for a top-tier gaming experience. The processor’s efficiency is another highlight. Intel’s new architecture provides excellent power management, and the integrated graphics are a nice bonus for lighter tasks or troubleshooting without a dedicated GPU. However, the price point is where the i7-14700K stumbles a bit. While it’s a top performer, its cost can be a tough pill to swallow, especially when compared to competitors like AMD’s Ryzen X3D series. The Ryzen X3D offers similar, if not better, performance in some cases, often at a more competitive price. This pricing discrepancy might make the i7-14700K a less attractive option for budget-conscious builders. In summary, the Intel Core i7-14700K is a stellar processor with top-notch performance and efficiency. It’s a solid choice for high-end builds, but the price could be a limiting factor when compared to rivals like the Ryzen X3D. If you’re looking for peak performance and can justify the cost, it’s definitely worth considering.

Extreme performance and extreme heat, do your self a favor, buy AIO too or a full water cooled loop.

Honestly it's a really good CPU. Got it recommended to me for my 5060 ti and I'm loving it! Running Marvel's Spider-Man at 120 fps with no drops and it's amazing. Highly recommend if you're a mid-tier PC user like I am.

Upgraded from a 12600k and i am extremely happy, Noticeable difference in gaming and productivity. I updated bios prior to installation and i have the CPU undervolted. Under full load i dont go above 80 degrees and in gaming im around 50-60 degrees. No issues thankfully and i hope it stays that way. Loving it!

Upgrading from a i5-12600k, there were massive improvements to performance. Have run consistently for a month and no issues to note. The CPU runs hot under load but stays within expected range under stress test

Wanted to upgrade my cpu in my Z690 motherboard

This is a very toasty little cpu. It thermal throttles at full load on my Liquid Freezer III 280mm AiO at stock. I just put a -0.100 offset on my core voltage, and now it runs in the mid-80s (on average) in Cinebench with a higher score. I'm not skilled enough yet to tune by frequency, but undervolting is definitely the way to go. I got it on sale and decided to upgrade.

Here is whay I think of the 14700K and its Sibling the 14900k . 1st and foremost dont overclock it It is fast as you can get it in fact I would underclock it and Undervolt it. We all know heat kills electronics but to put 400 watts plus on a computer Chip is insane . I killed a 3770 k by overvolting . I have never killed a cpu because of heat in fact they start throtling when the Heat is on. The problem here is If you need productivity then get the 14900 K buy gaming @ say 5.4 Ghz on all P cores is more than ebought to keep up with 4090 RTX and have all settings to max Of you only game the 14700 k os the same thing just less cores . Both of them are beast just make sure you undervolt if not you will fry them

    Solid Processor and Good Value

I bought this processor to replace a 13th Gen I9 processor and have been quite happy with it. My experience with the older I9 processor was mostly positive, except for the ongoing intermittent issue of the PC freezing and crashing. I am currently in the process of submitting a RMA for this I9 processor which does not seem to be a quick process. So, I bought this I7 processor since uses the same LGA 1700 socket and I did not need to buy a new motherboard. I have ran every benchmark test on this chip, played multiple games, host several applications, and have not had any of the issues I previously experienced with the previous CPU. I have been very happy with this processor and I would recommend it to anyone looking for solid performing CPU without the high price tag.

Great chip, great price on sale. The LGA 1700 socket is done for. I would recommend at least a 240mm AIO. I tried using this with a Noctua air cooler and it was not only inadequate for gaming, but also sounded like a bee-hive while it was trying to keep up.

    Fast CPU but runs hot

This thing is fast but it runs really hot. I have a Noctua U12A and it struggles to keep the cpu cool during heavy use. I recommend this cpu if you have space in your pc for a bigger cooler than mine, or if you don’t mind 80-100c temps during heavy use.

The reason I went with the 14700k is because it torques your PC. The i9 runs so hot that I went with a more managable i7. I have no complaints. Easily overclocks. I recommend a dual chamber noctua air cooler or a very highend AIO cooler.

I bought an i9-13900k yesterday & it was D.O.A., really wasn't happy at all, but I was able to return it today for a full refund, and so I bought this i7-14700k instead. Works flawlessly. TBH, a lot of the i9-13900k's are shipped non-working, get the 14700k instead; not much difference in performance, plus it's cheaper, especially with price matching with Microcenter.

Everything is in good and working order. Nothing was damaged even though the box came all dented. The stock is good, maybe the shipping or storage practices leave something to be desired. Built my computer and everything clicked on like a charm.
