Works to the performance as advertised by Intel. Great top of the line gaming performance, the newer model has been released as of today’s date April 4th, 2021. Great value if you aren’t looking for the newest model out.

I got the i9-10900k as a Christmas gift and was very happily surprised. However, after about a week playing games with it, (Cyberpunk 2077, WOW, COD, Borderlands 3, GTA 5, TROY, The Division 1 and 2 to name a few), the temps started to rise slowly. I didn't see a need to overclock the CPU so I kept it at stock speeds, (4900 MHz). Two weeks in and I changed my Noctua NH-D15 with Noctua NT-H1 to my Corsair H100i V2 with Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut and the temps were still climbing. The i9-10900k started to reach temps of 100 C and started to crash to blue screen. I reached out to Best Buy and they replaced that CPU with another one. The one I have now is reaching temps of 79 C at stock speeds so I will keep an eye on the temps and hope it doesn't turn out to be a dud like the first one. What are the chances of getting 2 duds back to back. I know this is not Best Buy fault at all, Intel are just making very bad CPU's. Best Buy took great care of me and help resolve the issue by sending me a replacement. Thank you Best Buy.

Love It!!! Had a slight issue though. My first i9 10900k would not run at correct speeds and would not turbo boost. I was told by both Asus and Intel it was either an issue with my VRMs on my motherboard or a defect in the silicone on my processor. So I exchanged both. The new ones run flawlessly! This processor is a GREAT pairing for the Z490 Maximus Hero! OC to 5.2 @1.324v

Amazing beast of a CPU. I haven’t tried over clocking yet until I get a better GPU, but this CPU rarely sees 50% utilization for today’s games! Warzone can get up into the 30-50% utilization on all max settings 1080p but that’s the only time I’ve seen it. Creating worlds that rely on CPU is so much faster with it, it’s a crazy sight. Very happy with my purchase!

Works really well! Installation was pretty easy. I would not recommend this for someone who is building their first computer due to its price, and would he devastating for it to break.

An extremely powerful processor that isnt completely sold out. This thing handles everything I throw at it with ease. I play games at 4k and this i9 doesn't even break a sweat. If you're wondering whether you should buy this now or wait till the amd cpus are available, no need to wait this thing is more than powerful enough to handle anything you need it for.
