Unstable CPU, DO NOT BUY!! NO FIX SINCE A YEAR
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Buying this processor was the worse decision of my life!! I have attached pics of my build as well as all the error for your references. So I build nearly 6000$ worth pc, I went all out assembling the best white themed pc of my life, specs are as follows Motherboard : Asus ROG Z790 Maximus Formula GPU : ASUS ROG RTX 4090OC white RAM : Gskill Trident Z5 2X32 GB white AIO : ASUS ROG Ryujin III 360 ARGB White Chassis : Lian Li 011 Vision White PSU : Asus Rog Thor 1200W Platinum II FANS : 2 packs of 3 Lian Li uni fans TL 120 white 1 pack of 3 Lian Li uni fans TL 120 white Reverse Blade Monitor : ROG Swift OLED PG34WCDM 34" 240hz Keyboard : Asus ROG Falchion RX 65% White apart from these i also spend money on other stuff such as table, mouse mat, router, lan cable, zip ties and whatnot! after spending months of my saving for a pc of my dream, all that i get is crashes every 5 to 10 mins. whole internet is filled by posts of intel i9 14900k crashing an voltage spiking. Only if i would have done a little research of intel's nightmare cpu instead of watching tons of youtube videos of gameplay performance. I received a more than 7 week of ban on Valorant because my game was crashing in competitive mode, other single player games are crashing with out of the memory error and my VS code crashes every 5 min all that i code gets lost, Google chrome is crashing every 5 mins. I tried every fix to resolve the problem, Asus themself launched a bios to fix the crashing caused by overclocking the cpu which did solved my game crashing problem but browser and vs code is still crashing.

Intel's biggest failure
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'd give 0 stars if I could. Bought this chip a year ago and I had nothing but blue screen errors constantly. It started with more modern games (WarHammer Space Marine, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch), and now it crashes constantly on menial tasks like speech to text transcribing. It's bug has ruined my motherboard and all the other hardware connected to the motherboard. You can fix with a bios update prior to the bug turning up but if you start seeing blue screens then you are screwed. In summary: I bought this chip for $600 and will now need to spend $2000-$3000 to fix my computer. DO NOT BUY

Blazing Fast Performance, but Runs Hot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded my system with the Intel Core i9-14900K, and the performance boost has been phenomenal. Whether I'm gaming, streaming, or handling heavy workloads like video editing and 3D rendering, this processor handles everything with ease. Pros: Exceptional Performance: With 24 cores and 32 threads, multitasking is seamless. Games run smoothly, and rendering times have significantly decreased. High Clock Speeds: The base clock of 4.4GHz and turbo boost up to 6.0GHz ensure rapid processing, making demanding applications run effortlessly. Unlocked for Overclocking: Being unlocked, it offers flexibility for overclocking enthusiasts to push the processor further. Cons: Runs Hot: Under heavy loads, the CPU temperatures can get quite high. I recommend investing in a high-quality cooling solution, preferably a 360mm AIO liquid cooler, to maintain optimal temperatures. Power Consumption: It's power-hungry, so ensure your power supply can handle the load, especially if you're planning to overclock. Final Thoughts: The Intel Core i9-14900K is a powerhouse, delivering top-tier performance for both gaming and professional applications. While it does run hot and consumes more power, with the right cooling and power setup, it’s an excellent choice for those seeking high performance and future-proofing their system.

i9 14900k CPU
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As someone who has recently upgraded to the Intel i9-14900K CPU from a previous generation processor, my experience has been a mix of excitement and measured expectations. First off, the performance boost in everyday tasks and specialized applications is noticeable. This CPU handles multitasking and heavy workloads with impressive ease. The single-thread performance is a standout, making it great for applications that don't utilize multiple cores effectively. In terms of gaming and content creation, the i9-14900K shines. Games run smoothly, and tasks like video editing and 3D rendering are faster, which is a significant advantage for me as a content creator. The improvements over the i9-13900K, though not groundbreaking, are still appreciable in these areas. However, there are a few caveats. The i9-14900K runs hotter and requires a robust cooling solution. If you're upgrading from a previous generation, like I did, be prepared to invest in a good cooler. The power consumption is also higher, which might be a concern for energy-conscious users. Another point to consider is the price-performance ratio, especially when compared to the i9-13900K or even some AMD offerings. The performance improvements are there, but they might not justify the cost for everyone, especially if you're already on a recent processor. The lack of substantial architectural changes from the 13th generation makes the i9-14900K feel more like a refined version of its predecessor rather than a new generation. In conclusion, the Intel i9-14900K is a powerful CPU that offers improved performance for high-end gaming and professional work. However, the incremental improvements and similarities to the previous generation might not make it a must-have upgrade for everyone, especially considering the cost and additional requirements like cooling and power. It's a great processor, but whether it's the right choice depends on your specific needs and the hardware you're currently using.

BEST EVER 10/10
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for top-tier performance in a CPU, the Intel Core i9 series is a standout choice that delivers exceptional speed, multitasking capability, and reliability. Whether you're a gamer, content creator, or professional handling intensive workloads, this processor rises to the challenge with ease. The most noticeable advantage is the raw power. With high core and thread counts, blisteringly fast clock speeds, and support for the latest memory and PCIe technologies, the i9 handles everything from AAA gaming to 4K video editing without breaking a sweat. Applications run smoother, rendering times are drastically reduced, and heavy multitasking feels seamless. Thermal performance has also improved, especially with newer i9 models. When paired with a good cooling solution, the CPU remains stable and efficient even under extended load. It’s also future-proofed for upcoming software and games thanks to support for features like DDR5 and PCIe 5.0. Overall, the Intel Core i9 is a beast in its class. It's not just fast — it’s intelligently designed for power users who demand the best. While it's on the pricier side, the performance return justifies every cent for those who need uncompromised capability.

Hot Hot Hot
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This processor isn't really much of an improvement over 13th gen, except for slightly higher clocks. Got about the same performance when comparing benchmarks in Cinebench. In order to keep pushing 6ghz this processor gets fed over 300 watts of power. With more power, comes more heat. I have a custom water loop with a very good pump and even that struggles to keep this chip cool when benchmarking. However, it hasn't been too bad when gaming and doing other tasks. Overall, I got this because it was cheaper than last gen and gets the job done. Highly recommend under-volting.

Great Chip once you update BIOS
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far intel hasn't let me down until I got this cpu. Only inconvenience that I had was unreal engine 5 games wouldn't load in due to overvolting and thermal throttling of the cpu. A simple bios update solved all the issues and I haven't had any issues since then. When playing games or multitasking it has been superb especially using Intel XTU to tune the cpu to desired specs and allow the cpu to get maximum performance under my cooling system. Pros: Super fast processor (base speed) Intel XTU tuning unlocked even more speed multi-tasking performance Cons: CPU overheats due to voltage overload (UPDATE BIOS)

What can i say - best of the best
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.During January 2024, i built myself a high end desktop PC with all the best components. One component was the i9-14900k processor. As far as the processor goes- its simply the best in the market right now. Some things to be careful of: 1) many motherboards with high end z790 chipsets say they support 12th/13th/14th gen intel- but that may require a bios update. And unless your mobo has flash bios capabilities, there is no way to install a bios update. Ensure you either buy a mobo with native 14th gen support- or- 14th gen support and usb flash bios update capability. My first mobo was a relatively high end asus z790 that said it supported 14th gen intel, but if you looked at the fine print on asus website for this model it said “may require a bios update for 14th gen support”. Well, it wouldnt even post. I had to buy the literal top-of-the-line z790 that already had native 14th gen support and swap after waiting a few more days. 2) this chip can be hard to cool. I built a system with higher-end air-based cpu cooler (be quiet dark rock pro 5) and good thermal paste. While using the most intense game I own (Ark Ascended) the cpu never tops 70C. Thats great. However, if i open up intels extreme tuning utility and run the benchmark (no overclocking yet) the cpu almost immediately pegs at 100C and throttles. Now, the cpu benchmark score is still near world record at ~14000 points, but how could i ever actually use the overclock? This cpu just has so much horsepower its impossible to fully cool if its at 100%. However… it has so much horsepower that it never gets to 100%…. Under the heaviest loads i have placed on it- it never exceeded 70C. Now, if you are brave enough to put water in your system (im not)… you could probably cool a little bit better. Alhtough- not much.

Very good but not perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fast as heck but the 13th/14th gen CPUs have a bug that causes games to crash or cause a BSOD. (more specifically certain UE5 games) This can be fixed if you update your motherboard's BIOS. I have a Gigabyte mobo so the issue seems to be fixed. Keep this in mind before upgrading to new CPU like this one. Apart from that hiccup, I love this thing. The performance is great!
