Customers value the Core i9-14900K's overall performance, citing its excellent capabilities in handling demanding tasks and delivering a great user experience. However, some users have noted that the processor runs warm under heavy workloads, suggesting the need for effective cooling solutions. Positive feedback highlights its strong performance and ability to meet expectations. Concerns regarding heat generation should be considered when planning a system build.

It runs hot. Takes some tweaking to get the best performance. Probably not the best gaming CPU out there. It is powerful and a solid option. Make sure you get a powerful cooler.

Its fast and powerful, but it runs hotter than the surface of the sun lol. I have a huge double tower cooler with the best thermal paste and 140mm fans - and the chip under full load will hover in the 90’s (C) - and it idles in the 30s. Other than that, it rips through anything you throw at it.

Intel has really fumbled with these 1400 and 1300 series cpu’s. High temps along with excessive wattage. Performance is stellar as long as you know what you are doing. For the average consumer, However, this will be a nightmare if you don’t research on it before buying. Some Asus mobo’s will grill your cpu also so make sure to update the bios to latest version with USB FLASH. Also I don’t recommend overclocking these cpu’s because of TEMPS.

I bought this for my PC build. Intel has been around for forever and I figured the most updated CPU would make everything easier for the build and gaming.
If you dont stress your pc, this CPU is fine
However, without making any changes out of the box, it will quickly overheat and may give a BSOD.
It was only have I looked up issues and the changes/tweaks needed to optimize the cpu to handle stress that I was able to achieve good and healthy temperatures for it.
If you're looking to purchase this CPU, be aware of its issues. There are many articles and threads about it as well as YouTube videos on it as well. You'll have to make changes in your PC to make it run the most optimal way
Other than that, works as expected

I love this CPU its fast and snappy. Since i do more than just gaming i wanted an Intel CPU. The only issues is that you need to make sure your motherboard is updated to the latest BIOS. Other than that its great. If you will only be gaming then go with the AMD x3d CPUs, but if you will be doing more than that definitely get this CPU

I got the 14900k after my 13900k started to have extreme degradation problems. Its a strong chip if you have the cooling to keep the temps under control.

This CPU was installed in my daily PC that is used for work and gaming. Having updated from an i5, apps are super responsive. Make sure to have a sufficient CPU cooler as this chip gets hot.

Hey, are you looking for an Excuse to hit the proceed to chekckout button? Well here it is. Purchased to finally upgrade my gaming PC, am i satisfied? Yes. Is this CPU is incredibly overpowered for my type of gaming? Also yes. But isn’t this the American way? MORE POWAHH BABY! No more crashes, no more fps drop since my gpu is no long bottlenecked by my puny old generation cpu that was trying to paddle down the river of data with nothing but a spoon. Now it’s more like a 1500hp pontoon boat ready to party and hit the boat launch first. And everyone is invited. 10/10 would recommend.

My brother and I purchased these around the same week. Mine works , his is on its way for RMA and possibly a refund. Doing some research online and the first thing that comes up is a 50% failure rate. If you do get one that works , it is very powerful and can handle anything you throw at it.

Great CPU. Runs at advertised speeds, though undervolting is necessary. Even with a 360 AIO and an undervolt applied it will still reach 100C easily in heavy loads. Was reaching 100C in standard AAA titles, but the undervolt brought that down to mid 60s.

Its pretty quick, i was debating on getting the 13900k and just went ahead an got the 14900k. You’ll need a decent cooler since it runs a bit hot, I did some undervolting to keep it stable under high usage. Overall it’s great.

A very, very beefy CPU that gives amazing performance. Runs very efficiently when you need it to and is one of the top of the line CPUs you can get.
