Reminder I do not however recommend this at all if you're only doing gaming. No game today will "need" nor "want" 8 cores and blistering speeds, I render games and utilize the performance well with that and music creation. It's a perfectly rounded processor and I can't take that away from it. Intel has been sitting on performance increases and lacking in the department for years until AMD finally gave them the run we needed. Zen 2 will be releasing, pushing Intel into another war and furthering our processor needs. I've seen and used an 8086 in 1989, to see Intel progress only this far in ~30 years is an understatement to what they can do. Good on AMD for pushing them back into the swing of things.

Out of the box this CPU already runs fast at stock frequencies with an all core clock of 4.7GHz. This particular 9900K chip runs all cores at 5GHz non AVX at 1.235V on a Gigabyte Aorus Master motherboard while maintaining a maximum package temperature around 78C with a Corsair H150i Pro 360mm AIO under a Prime 95 stress test. Can reach a maximum stable all core OC of 5.2GHz at 1.345V while the maximum temperature is around 94C with AIDA64 stress test (CPU, FPU, cache, memory) checked.

I upgraded to this from a 2600K OCed to 4.4ghz. It was time to upgrade since I game at 1080p and I know that I was being limited by my CPU. I was able to get the 9900K to run sable at 5.2ghz all threads at 1.35v. I do run a custom watercooling loop with temps never going over 75c. I paired this with a MSI MEG Z390 ACE with Cosair LPX 2x16gb ram. Over all this was a great upgrade and will last me years to come.

Intel has done it again with this chip, and it performs as I expected for the price. Easily overclocks with Turbo Boost to the advertised 4.8 GHz with zero issues. Couldn't get my chip stable at 5.0 GHz, but that's most likely just luck of the draw. Games, rendering, you name it are all fast and smooth. If your budget allows for this CPU, you won't regret picking this up.

I wanted a processor that isamazing at both gaming as well as my workstation tasks, so I decided to spoil myself with this processor in my build. I am regularly seeing upwards of 4.7-5ghz without even overclocking, and my 2080 is bottleneckijg my CPU considerably instead of the reverse happening like when I had my old CPU. Despite the price, I am very happy I bought this CPU.

Super fast, reliable but definitely on the expensive side. My only complaint is that its definitely hard to keep cool. Hovers around 140°F under moderate load. (240mm liquid cooling system) Over clocked to 5.5GHz for a few minutes before I had to shut down PC because the CPU temp was around 175°F. Will definitely be looking into a 360mm water cooling system.

CPU I9-9900k GPU Evga RTX 2080 TI FTW 3 Ultra Aorus Master Z390 Corsair i150 AIO Corsair Vengeance RGB 3200 16GB Dell S2719DGF (1440p) Pushing 130+ FPS average in all AAA FPS titles with CPU temps hardly getting above 40 C. I contemplated going with Ryzen, but glad I didn’t. I would have been disappointed.

I dont really know how to write a informative review on a processor. All I know is it works amazing and has added 30+ fps to all my mmo games. It is a lot faster than my i5 7600k but that's to be expected as it had a good 4 core and 12 threads more lol. And as a side note, the case it comes in is epic. It's a lot bigger than it looks like in the pictures.

Just recently had a new gaming computer build, this processer can handle anything you throw at it from gaming to any type of high workload software like Adobe. I couldn't have made a better decision and recommend this to anyone wanting a reliable and extremely fast processor. Best processor on the market for the money.

Screaming fast performance. Make sure you have something to cool this adequately though as they produce some heat. I went with a SilverStone Technology AR06 - 58mm since I put it in a Node 202 case with limited clearance. Keeps it under 40c under light loads and hasn't thermal throttled even under bench-marking.

The 9900k is the processor to get. Overclockable, Hyper-Threading, and affordable (for me anyway, unlike the 'X' or 'XE' line of processors). I have this paired with 32GB of Corsair Pro 3200mhz RGB RAM and an EVGA 2080ti FTW3 graphics card, and what a beast my machine is. Highly recommend this processor.

Wow wow wow, I can't say it enough! This i9 processor from Intel is just about as good as you could ever get. It's lightening fast and works amazingly! I did need to buy a cooling system for it as it heats very quickly, as expected, so do keep that in mind, but seriously, this baby will have you saying WOW!!

I had read a bunch of reviews saying this guy gets hot and it may be the case if its not cooling rite.... i use a 120x2 all in one cooler/radiator and asus ai overclocking and keep it consistently 30-40c running at 4.8-5.0mhz.... great processor buddy even picked on up and he loves it too.

Runs super fast, but does run hot. I would not recommend a fan on this, go with a AIO water cooler. 4 stars since you have to add a fan or watercooler, and comes in a stupid clear plastic box, would rather have seen lower price and simple box or a cooler included instead of box.

The sticker shock was hard to get by, I won't lie. But out of the box this CPU is insanely fast. I upgraded to an entire new build and gave my children my old one. We are both very happy. Great job intel and bestbuy!

The processor has great performance. Runs cooler than the i7 7700k I replaced it with. I overclocked it to 5ghz on all cores stable. Highly recommend albeit comes with a hefty price tag.

The latest CPU from Intel does a great job maintaining the crown. When paired with a premium motherboard and cooler, this CPU can his at least 5.0ghz on all cores. Keep it cool!
