Toss out your toy lightsabers and use your Darth Vader helmet as a Halloween prop. Real science fiction is back! The director of the esteemed Dark Knight Trilogy and equally impressive Inception turns his sights on the final frontier and turns in what is arguably his best effort to date. Nolan even shows us the effects of time dilation, something Star Bores won't touch with a barbecue fork. Yet again Nolan hires some of the best actors in the biz (McConaughey, Caine, Hathaway, the junior Affleck) and unfurls a dire chronicle that is neither cliché nor predictable. On top of that, the visuals are stunning. (We need to find out which brand of beer Nolan drinks!) The "docking sequence" is one of the most exciting set pieces in some time. Special mention must be made of Nolan's buddy Hans Zimmer's thrilling musical score! The movie wouldn't be the same without it.

An outstanding sci-fi movie to watch over and over

Finally I got around to watching "Interstellar!" Wow, what a incredible viewing and mentally arousing experience! It's a modern day perception of "2001: a Space Odessey," sans Hal's scrutiny and omnipresence. This time it's Mathew McC's character that's responsible for the ultimate judgment and decision making for mankind's ultimate survival. A father who's sacrificed his son's and especially his daughter's companionship and growing up life's experiences, McC reluctantly decides to venture across interstellar space in a quest to ensure that our humanity is worth the trade-off. Plenty of literary and poetic contemplations, longings, and solemnities enrich and enhance one's critical analysis and reviewing of this visual and mind-boggling spectacle!

What made this movie even better is that the science behind it (i.e. wormholes) is fairly accurate. Great visual effects.

If you're looking for an action packed, quick moving thriller, forget this movie. However, if you enjoy a movie that will force you to look at life from different perspectives, don't miss Interstellar. For example: How long is a year if you're not on earth? How desperate will a man be if stranded alone on a planet? And much more. One note of caution, it is a long, complicated plot, so either start early in the evening or take it over 2 evenings as I did. I think that helped me digest the plot too.

The main reason I even watched this movie was mainly because of Christopher Nolan being the director. I feel he gives us a different movie experience, most movies these days seem to be too unoriginal. I enjoy movies that make you think and that takes a few views to even get more out of it, it keeps the movie fresh, and that's what this movie does. Its intense at times with the music that ups that intensity. Excellent, must watch movie. I can't wait for another movie from Nolan to see what he has in store for us next.

My wife really enjoys the scores to this movie. The movie in intense and a good watch.

Matthew mcconaughey is a bit weird in every movie, and this one is no exception.
