This software was installed on my aging 2009 MacBook Pero and runs perfectly. I love how detailed you can get with it by classifying purchases into categories to get an accurate breakdown of where all your spending is going every week/month/year in an easy to read pie chart. Really facilitates budgeting and the auto bill reminder feature is fantastic if your utility company supports it.

Everything I do is Mac based. But for years I had a cheap PC that I only used to run Quicken. Intuit finally put out a program that is nearly as robust as the Windows version. Not compatible with Online backup and not perfect with the iPhone app. But far better than the previous versions.

Used Quicken for PC through all of 2014. There are some differences with the MAC version which takes some getting used to but very useful software for tracking your budget and spending.

This is a good product but considering how many years it has been out it is really not very intuitive. Especially if you use one of the most common forms of budgeting (envelope budgeting) for you and or your family. There is no correlation with this type of budgeting. The other MAJOR ISSUE I have is not so much with the manufacturer as it is with the publishers and Amazon search and google search engines. I purchased Quicken for MAC. There are NO BOOKS out there for Quicken For Mac. The one or two that do appear in the searches are recycled help books for Quicken for Windows wth a different cover. Quicken for MAC IS DIFFERENT!!!! Has DIFFERENT SCREENS, and DIFFERENT controls, so (ARE YOU LISTENING PUBLISHERS) a Quicken Help book for WINDOWS IN NO WAY helps you learn or set up Quicken for MAC. We are in the process of calling Quicken Tech support to help us solve the problems we are having with the functionality and understanding of the package. Once done I'm sure it will be a useful tool. Right now it's just annoying. I put that I would not recommend this to a friend because you really have to know the product in order to use it out of the box. If not the learning curve is trully a barrier to getting started with this software. My degree is in Computer Networking and I have taught classes on Microsoft Office products, so I am not unfamiliar with how software works. But to try to get this software to do exactly what you want it to do and to have it interact with your bank exactly how you want it to is at very best, CHALLENGING. That said, it is possible if you have NEVER used any budgeting program or method at all and you just let the program do everything, Setting the budget up how Quicken wants to, then learn how to budget the way Quicken wants you to, you might be good to go...But I doubt it.

It has taken me a long time to get use to this after being a long time user of Quicken for Windows. I don't understand why Quicken can't make this as good as Windows? It is definitely not as user friendly...but I am getting the hang of it. If you are new to Quicken and never had the Windows experience you should be fine...otherwise...you will get frustrated!

Not compatible with the older version of quicken that I used. Now need to establishe all new accounts

I am sure this product is good if you are first using an accounting program and Quicken is your choice. But for a long time Quicken user, the user interface and the way the spread sheet is laid out coupled with the changes in how things are accounted for mean that if you import existing files into the program, you might find, as I did, that not only can you not do things the way you did before, but the way you used the program before screws up the accounting itself. So I have put it all back in the box, removed it from my computer and chalk it up to experience. So I will say YES as a recommendation with the qualification that that applies to new users only.

The software is amazing. I installed it and it went to work immediately. It has been of tremendous help in keeping my accounts organized. The only problem is that it does not lend itself to easy customization.

This product was easily downloaded from the disc provided and recognized my old Quicken files. They were incorporated into the new product and I was able to continue using the system as before. I was up and running in ten minutes. The new product does not provide specific options for the types of transactions, nor does it include separate columns for deposits and debits but does provide a clear and convenient tally of checkbook balances at the top of the page.

I like this quicken on my Mac computer better than the PC Quicken. If I accidentally enter data in the wrong account I can just drag it to the correct spot with my mouse.

There are always new things that you have to adjust to when updating a Quicken program. I love the auto download capacity that I didn't think I would ever use! I know with time, I'll work through the "differences".

This version is faster and gives smoother links. However, it also changed the print check option so you can only change the location of all fields at one time, no longer can you adjust one field only (i.e. move the date or memo field) to a more convenient spot. It is not compatible with 2004 version data files for those who don't update often or need to access old records. You will need to update to the 2007 version first. 2016 will read the 2007 version.

For years I have wanted to switch from Quicken for Windows to the MAC version. This version does what I need it to do and now I don't have to use microsoft's terrible operating system. Yeah!!!!

Software is much different from much older software so also learning the capabilities. Many features but minimal instructions.

This may not be as powerful as the Windows version but I love Mac, and Intuit made this version good.

First off I have used Quicken for years and told the store clerk that I wanted the edition for my new iMac computer. He got it for me but I got home and found I needed a disc drive which the iMac does not have. Went back bought the disc drive and then discovered there were lots of aps already available for free or very little money. Wish I would have researched more before purchasing.

Needed help from Quicken in order to transfer it. Much of the pc software is not available for the mac.

Not as comprehensive as pc version. Lacks a lot of features. If you're used to pc version be prepared for major difference.

This seems to be more difficult that mint. I have to manually update my accounts. With mint it updates when you log in
