This program makes it incredibly easy to file your own taxes. It is user friendly and simple. Will not be paying someone to file my taxes anymore!

This is the seventh year in a row I have used turbo tax. Was hesitant at first. Used the return from a tax specialist the year before and compared it to Turbo Tax, they must use the same software. Have been using Turbo Tax ever since and saving $300 a year. A benefit to use it year after year is not having to reload information as it is all transferred from last years filing. Now takes me less than 45 minutes to do the taxes.

I have been using Turbo Tax for years and have found it very easy to use. When I am done with my return, I always feel confident that it is done correctly using this program. This year, I have a new situation with a student in college and entering the related forms into Turbo Tax has left me confused and unsure that I have done it correctly. And reading the online help has not helped either. I feel that Intuit could have done a much better job of presenting this section. So if you have this situation, just beware that you might still have to seek out a professional and pay for that in addition to buying this software. But other than that, I would not hesitate to recommend Turbo Tax.

TurboTax has worked well for me for over 20 years. I have never experienced a problem with the software, and have successfully filed electronically since that feature first became available. I've used different versions based on my tax situations for the current year including rental property, investments, etc. It is easy to use and allows your return to be completed and filed quickly.

For those who are comfortable enough to do their own taxes, I'd recommend this in a second. For those who really don't know what it all means, I'd defer to the professionals unless you're simply doing a 1040-EZ. That is not to say you couldn't figure it out with the help feature, but we're talking about taxes here. Far too important to "think" you are inputting everything that you should. There is a return review process that will let you know if you've missed something or if something doesn't belong where you put it. There is also a tax defense that you can buy which insure you against an audit.
