Finally broke down and purchased this after years of doing return on my own, and it was well worth it with all the changes and new forms. Really helped doing returns for myself, in-law and kids. It's a pain they charge to e-file the state, but CO has free program online so you can just re-input the data after preparing in Turbotax. Advice for those with lower income - check online for free filing version. If you meet the requirements they e-file free fed and states. I wish I had done that for 1 college student with 2 states to file in.

Turbo tax is always easy to use and cheaper than hiring someone to do your taxes. Make sure you buy the correct product for your situation.

You learn about taxes, and then can easily do taxes for yourself (and your family) for anything uncomplicated-- e.g. wage income, interest income, brokerage investment returns. Also, make sure to purchase around holidays when on sales-- you should never buy at full price.

This product is good and pretty simple to use, it walks you through deductions and explains what they mean, and if you are still stuck, you can ask for assistance. Buyers beware that this product does not work with Windows 10.

I purchased this software because it is easy to use. You can enter charitable donations for deductions. However, be careful. It may not catch whether you have entered the form for last year's tax refund from the state of Ohio.

Great software and easy to use! Only downside is that it does not include e-file for state. That is a seperate charge.

I've used this product for 25+ years. If you have some experience preparing your returns, TurboTax is very intuitive to use. If not, the step-by-step process is detailed and will walk you through your tax situation easily. If you need to amend a return, the 1040X is included in the package. You can prepare and file returns for multiple states if you moved during the tax year. It also has a reasonably good help function for each line on the tax form.
