I purchased the IOGEAR - Ultra-Slim USB-C Docking Station docking station in June. This was the first docking station that I have purchased, so at that time I did not realize that it has design features that are hard to match. It's elongated, slim build allows me to set it underneath the back portion of the laptop. This allows me to save space as well as to create an area of airflow underneath the laptop. Also, it has plenty of ports to connect all of my devices. I have been unable to locate another product that is comparable.

The docking station works well with the MacBook Pro, and allows use of multiple devices on one device. I would like to see the next version have a longer cable to allow you to move the docking station farther from the computer.

This is great to use the USB-C port to add everything you need for your laptop. I need ethernet, monitor, etc and this worked as a plug and play.

I bought the larger version for my husband as his external monitor uses vga. This doesn't have it, but I don't need it. It's super compact so doesn't take much space. My new tablet doesn't have an ethernet jack, but this does which makes working remote and connecting to Citrix so much better. Absolutely no pauses or drops in connection. Very pleased with it.

Was looking to recreate my office at work .... at home. But for a lower price. Purchased this low profile docking station with all the ports I need. Hooked up my laptop and two monitors to it and for about half the price, I have my office at work in my office at home. Using a remote mouse and keyboard. Totally pleased.

This is a great docking station for my MacBook. It has plenty of USB ports to plug in the keyboard and multiple devices. The monitor and charger also easily connect to the device. I have loved having a device to connect everything in one place since the laptop only has USB C ports.

For some reason I was not able to connect two monitor with my mac book pro using this docking station, either the vga worked or the hdmi but not both at the same time other then this it worked smooth with single monitor, I liked this device overall, everything worked well, it fits well just behind my mac, the cable might need some support where it connects on the laptop because it is always twisted so might torn out from the join as I could see some strain.

So far I haven't quite figured out what I am doing with this. It won't do what I wanted. If you use the VGA you can only use the one monitor. You can use 2 monitors if you use Mini Display port and HDMI. This is clearly written on the packaging, but I did not see this on the website. Other than that it is good quality and I think I should be able to make it do what I want.

This is pricier than some of the other docking hubs that are available, but it's worth the extra money as it includes three USB 3.0 ports, SACD and micro-SACD card slots, HDMI, Ethernet, and even a VGA port in case you've got a legacy monitor or projector laying around. Also, one of the USB ports has fast charging for your phone, and the dock passes through power to your laptop from the charger. Other docs have fewer USB ports and lack HDMI and Ethernet, and my experience is that if you have problems with your home Internet service, tech support will ask you to hook up to your router with a cable, so even if you don't use Ethernet normally, it's a handy thing to have.

Nice Solution for docking a MacBook Pro

Since the new MBPs only have Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C), I needed a solution to allow me to use all my USB based dongles, cables, etc. I also needed a solution for external monitors and charging. This allows for 2 additional monitors, BUT the 2 additional are mirrored ONLY. I ended up getting another (different more travel-friendly) dock for the 2nd external monitor and additional connectivity. The other one I got is j5create - Ultra Drive Dock for Select Apple MacBook Laptops. Between the 2 docks, I have all I need including 3 total screens. The built-in one, and 1 on each dock. It is not as elegant as I want, but Apple has always ignored business users, in my opinion, in this regard. The PC market has way better, purpose-built docking solutions. This solution works as designed and I do like it. Any issues I have with this solution are not the fault of the dock maker, that lies with Apple themselves.

I wasn't a fan of having to buy any sort of attachment/dongle for my new MacBook Pro, but this has worked out well so I can use what I need. Lots of options and fits well behind my laptop; just plug it in and go. Much better than buying several separate dongles.

Have not tested all ports / features of this device yet, but Ethernet and USB3 connections work fine. Nice looking Docking Station, although if it was meant to exactly fit under some Mac laptop, it's not a 'perfect fit' under the Acer above. If it sits behind (not under) the laptop mentioned, it still doesn't take much space and is handy to access and fast. Recommended!

Nice product, my second iogear docking station however this one for some reason did not require any software to work with my macbook or windows 10 pc. The unit does seem to get a bit hot though but so far no issues.

I use this daily with my MacBook Pro. Works good if you want to use your MacBook or laptop as a desktop. Only problem I have is sometime I have to unplug the dock from my MacBook and plug back in to get a picture or sound on my tv. This only happens about once a month however so not a big deal. Overall very satisfied with my purchase.
