Works perfect, but sometimes I have to switch plugs for the attached speakers to reconnect to the MacBook. I done;t think its the Mac, but maybe the plug. Works perfect with a number of connected devices.

This hub really adds to the versatility of a lightweight portable devices that uses SUB-C technology. So far, every device I have connected to the hub has worked flawlessly except when I tried to connect 2 monitors. Unfortunately, it does not like having VGA and HDMI monitors running through the same USB plug. Aside from this issue, the hub works perfectly and allows me to fully utilize the functionality of USB-C technology.

I only gave this a 4 star review because the cord is just a few inches too short. I just turn the docking station around and use it with the ports facing me - If it was not for that I would have given it 5 stars.

This thing is way overpriced. Plus it gets really hot! Seems to work decently enough. A little worried it’s gonna burn the office down one day.

I use mine with a Microsoft Surface 7 and it works really well and is less expensive than most I have seen. Offers a good mix of components. I have bought many docks over the years. I like this one the best. I’m a PC user, developer and programmer.

Connected this to my 2018 15” MacBook Pro and everything worked immediately. Dock works great but because of how it’s shaped make sure that you will be using a free port on the left side of your computer if you want the ports and cables you connect to this to be behind the computer. When plugging my charger into the dock for power delivery it does a good job of keeping my computer almost fully charged, only because my computer wants 87w and this only provides 60 - as advertised, but may be fine with other computers. Only thing I didn’t like was that it advertised 4K support - but only at 30hz, which I didn’t find out about until after opening it. If you have a 1080p display (1920x1080) or lower you’ll be fine.

Works well once everything is connected. Getting a second monitor to connect requires connecting and disconnecting the power supply. Was using a pixelbook with a 24" Acer monitor with HDMI in.

The docking station has worked fine with my MacBook. It has given me everything Apple took away in the MacBook.

I bought this to expand ports from USB-C on my Surface Book 2. It was immediately recognized by the computer and allowed connecting an external monitor either through a VGA connector and audio cable or HDMI. I have not yet tried the memory card reader or ethernet port.

This is my new ultra slim friend that allows me to connect multiple accesories including usb & a monitor. Great hub for home use.

The IOGEAR Ultra slim docking station is the perfect solution for a desk based work-a-holic to make the switch from a PC to a Mac without the need for updating my printer, keyboard, and extra screen. Being able to substitute my PC for the Mac and continue to work with my previous familiar setup, allows me to remain productive while learning the Mac. Less calls to Apple Support and more time to accomplish what I need to on the computer.

Easy to set up. This little thing made my life easier by having the USB reachable. A myst have.

This plugs into a USB 3 C or Thunderbolt port. Provides three USB 3 ports, VGA, HDMI, ethernet, etc. Works fine. I put velcro on it and the laptop to attach to the bottom. I use this for traveling to give me a full complement of attachment ports. The connecting wire is a bit obtrusive, but OK. Hyper drive offers a dock that is much smaller without a VGA or Ethernet port that is handier. Choose for the job you need.

Still pricey but has everything I need. Very useful with laptop as it has only Type C USB

This was pretty easy to hook but a bit more difficult to get everything to work smoothly once hooked up. Probably user error.

I got this docking station because it looks so elegant and says it gives 60w power output. My new Dell XPS 13 laptop only needs 45w for charging, so i figured my laptop could charge while having only the ONE cord from the dock attached. Unfortunately, as soon as I plugged it in I got an error message on the laptop saying the device was not putting out enough power to charge the laptop. This meant I had to us the Dell laptop power cord to charge the laptop at the same time as plugging the dock into the laptop's OTHER USBc charging port. This worked, but took up the other valuable charging Cport on my laptop. The whole idea was to have only the ONE cord plug in to my laptop to run things on my work station. Apparently, despite the 60w dock output, I guess other stuff (just one monitor, a wireless mouse, and two small speakers) were taking away enough power so that there was not 45w left to charge my laptop while I worked. So I returned this docking station for one that gives 100w output. Have not been able to test the new one yet but hoping it'll be enough to get the result of only one plug into my laptop at my work station. I looks nice and if you don't mind having two USBc plugs going into your laptop (using your laptop's own charging cable connected to the wall, and the dock plug connecting to your laptop via another USBc charging port...that is IF you have a second charging C port on your laptop, as the XPS 13 does) then it'll work fine for you. I chose to return this and get one with less style but more power.
