System Mechanic Ultimate Defense is BAD SOFTWARE!! It breaks more features than it claims to "fix". It severely bogs down any PC I install it on. It blocks software that I use on a regular basis from updating from their own website. There is NO way to pause the program to see if that would allow my regularly used software to update. I receive email several times a week from System Mechanic asking me to extend my annual software subscription including right after I extend my subscription for a year or more. And when I ask for any kind of refund - they refuse to offer any kind of credit - even though I have paid for the current year plus 2 additional years (my mistake - but I gave in to their constant emails to extend my subscription). As soon as I de-install their software my PC runs good again and my "good" software is able to update itself.
