Customers consistently note the Bluetooth Cassette Adapter's impressive sound quality despite its cassette tape design. The ease of use and compatibility with older vehicles without auxiliary ports are also highly praised. However, the battery life and inability to charge while in use are common concerns.

Inexpensive way to get Bluetooth audio in vehicle

I was skeptical at first but absolutely love this cassette adapter. I pop it in my vehicle's cassette player and it easily connects to my phone and a I can make hands free calls with my car stereo. I also use it to play music and audio books from my tablet. The only issue I had was that my car stero and my wife's van stereo occasionally eject it. Not sure why but it hasn't happened enough to really bother me. I charge it with one of my phone chargers and leave it my car for a week or two before I have to charge it again - typically it gets used 2-3 times per day. Glad I bought this.

Its a really good stuff for my car since I don't have Bluetooth on it. Works pretty good. Surely I'm gonna buy another one for my son. He needs one, too.

i bought this only because my car doesn't have a aux port. I tried a cassette adapter that wasn't Bluetooth, but it had an aux cord. It worked but i could hear a static noise, and the ruined the quality of the music. So i got the Bluetooth instead and its way better, the only bad thing is the battery life its decent but not the best. TIP: disconnect your car charger from the adapter when your car is off it drains the battery life of the adapter.

Love the amplifier in this device and it works great in my almost 20 year old car with the factory radio in it like it was built to work with it

In general it works, but several faults make this a no-go - it's noisy when audio isn't being played, and runs out of juice after one day of light use. Not to mention the on/off switch seems to have a mind of its own (it works even in the off position, though I could be wrong). Could probably overlook the noise issue if the USB port was relocated to allow recharging while in use.

Got this for my daughter's '04 GX470. Much easier and cheaper than rewiring the audio system. I tested it, works like a charm. Daughter said it works well for her. One con is that it has to be re-charged. If your tape player is the kind that doesn't drop the tape down into the player, then you can charge it on the go. Otherwise, clear sound from the Bluetooth.

It works fine except the microphone is weird and you have to open a latch to get it out. And you can't charge it in some tape decks meaning you're either listening or charging. And there's no charging led to show battery life so you just have to guess when it's fully charged and won't know if it's almost dead. I'd say shop around before buying this...

A noval idea for cassette adaptor

I bought this Ion Bluetooth cassette adaptor for my van. It was to replace my older "Griffin" hardwired cassette adaptor that allowed me to listen to music on my phone, as well as use it as a speaker phone thru my van's radio. Most cassette adaptors I found were for listening to music only; but I wanted to stick with one that'd also do speaker phone. This Ion Bluetooth adaptor looked like it would be just what I needed. However, I found the sound quality to be lousy, and I had to turn the volume on my phone, and the van radio all the way up to hear the sound. Also, the Bluetooth receiver/start-stop button was very difficult to use. I finally returned this to Best Buy and exchanged for an iSimple hardwired cassette adaptor that works a lot better. Don't buy this Ion Bluetooth cassette adaptor.
