I bought this for my father who documented the 1960s and 70s on slides. As kids, we loved seeing them on the old projector. Now, we can share them and online. What a treasure! I took away one star because it was a little slow having to feed them in one at a time. Otherwise - really a wonderful item.

A handy tool to bring a lot of memories to a better format. Anyone can use it and it makes good images. It does require a moment to get the image just right before saving it, but it's only a second or two. The only disappointment was using it on some older slides that had larger images than the 35mm slides that made up most of my collection. The scanner captured just the center of the image on the old ones.

We have slides that are over 50 years old and they images came out very clear and perfect. Even the negatives we scanned were great. Best choice I ever made.

This is a really good inexpensive way to copy slides and pictures into the digital format. I was preparing a digital photo story and was told by Walmart, Costco and Walgreens that digitizing my slides would take two to six weeks. Bought this product and did the job in less than two hours including digitizing photos.

Ok for basic transfer of negatives to digital, but not particularly sharp images. Reasonably fast. Good enough for snapshot level prints. Would chose a flatbed with negative support for better quality...

The scanner is easy to setup and intuitive to use. The quality of the images is good, not as good as the original photos, but the cost x benefit is worth it.

Once I got set up, it was easy to use. Quality is decent. Recommend that before scanning, use the tool given with this device to clean the dust particles off the negatives.

I wanted to review and/or transfer over 2000 slides to digital and my computer. It did the job. I learned that it was easier to just put each slide individually into the feeder cube rather than try to feed a whole group of them in at one time. My sister is going to borrow it next to do her slides.

Have a case full of slides. Used to have a scanner that would do 2 slides at once - time consuming and cumbersome. With the ion I can copy a rack of slides in a couple of minutes - and the picture quality is great.

I bought this for obvious reasons, I have a lot of 35mm slides that I needed to transfer for a friend's memorial who had passed away. When I got this home and unpacked the box a few days had gone by from when I had purchased it so I let the following problems not bother me, 1. There was no instruction manual 2. There was no included software and 3. The Quickstart guide was also missing. I had this transfer that needed to be done and it could not wait and I had to then drive the finished transfer 320 miles to a friend's funeral and memorial. The cost really isn't as good as the item. The transfer quality leaves a lot to be desired. It is very low amateur quality at best. My suggestion is take your slides to a professional and spend the extra money, you will be glad you did because this is a waste of hard earned money especially when in my case, I did not receive :what I paid for.

We recently received hundreds of slides from my father-in-law. This let's us see what is on them and best of all transfer them to a memory card.
