The scanner performs as advertised. While not really professional quality, it is of value to the casual user scanning old slides and negatives. The trays make it very fast and easy. One must be aware of dust or other contaminants on the slides or film and clean prior to scanning for the best results.

This device does just what it says it will. It got several hundred slides onto my computer and stored in the cloud just as fast as I could feed them through it.

Not expensive, not a fast operation, but worked well after I ajusted to various slide dimensions and thicknesses. I would recommend this product. I transferred 1300 old slides from 60s in about 4 hours

This is a great little scanner for slides. I have yet to use it for film strips, but don't see any potential issues. My only wish was to be able to plug it in to the computer and download directly instead of to the SD card first.

So glad I found this, all of my daughters pictures were taken with 35mm film. Some have ruined behind glass so I couldn't make copies. This is wonderful, and thankfully I kept all of my negatives. I only wish the screen was bigger.

I got to recover old slides and negatives that the prints had long since been lost. I was able to scan material from the 1960s, 70s, 80s and 90s. Some old negatives (45 years old) were stuck together and had to be peeled apart yet I was able to scan them without jamming the equipment. It worked equally well with color and black and white films. Great unit that did just what I wanted.

Simple controls & no complicated processes. It could use some image controls, but that might require a more refined machine.

I was unable to view my 35 mm slides from the 1960 until I purchase the Ion Film 2 SD Plus. This is a great product that I would recommend to everyone. I viewed my slides, modified them for best quality then save them to a SD card. I removed the SD card and installed it in my computer saved and printed the pictures. Without the Ion, my 35 mm slides were useless, but now I have pictures from the 1960s. I highly recommend this product to everyone.

Only problem was cleaning the glass before scanning. I saw nothing in the documentation about cleaning the surface. It wasn't until after I had done over 100 slides that I figured out how to clean the glass. It was only a minor setback as I could recopy the slides in a short time. The only other problem was I had some old slides that were larger than the opening on the slide input arm. Couldn't figure out how to get the whole image copied.
