No need to connect to computer. Has a self contained memory card. Easy and quick to use. Made very acceptable JPEGs from my 20 to 50 year old photo slide.

The device worked well and I was able to digitize several hundred slides in a few hours with pretty good results considering the condition of some of the slides. I was also able to digitize file negatives with the unit as well with better than expected results.

I thought the savings of the Open Box purchase would be great. Well after scanning 50 images which is simple. Love the ease. Bringing back memories of the 50's , 60's and 70's. There are two spots on the digital pics. I used the cleaning brush after about 30 pics and the spots are lighter but still there. Now I will have to package it up and send it back cause I hate having to see cancer spots on the sky. If I get one that works I will write another review. Wish I did not have to spend the postage.

The scanner works like it said it would. Some negatives however have a hard time fitting into the slide. Wish there was a way to adjust it. This would make it perfect.

Overall, this scanner does a good job. Easy to set negatives and save to SD card. Made transferring negatives to laptop simple. Nice effects to add to prints. Picture quality was not the best. Good if you just want to preserve memories without getting the best quality prints.

This is a simple product and works excellent for what I wanted.not high quality , but fine for me.

It does what I need it to do - convert some very old 35 mm slides to digital format. It is much quicker than previously trying to use conversion feature of printer.

Directions aren't helpful. Negative holder does not slide well. You lose some of your picture scanning it. Therefore when printing from this digital image picture will be even smaller than when printed from negative. Not all pictures look as good as when printed from negative. However it is a good way to preserve the more important pictures as it is getting harder to find a place to have prints developed. Wait and buy it on sale if you decide to get one.

Did exactly what I wanted it to do - easy set up out of the box. Handled negatives and slides with no problems. Software install was a breeze. Great value for DIY image converson

I purchase this item thinking I was going to be able to transfer all of my film negatives to digital format, but this was not the case the machine as a setting for 110 film but the tool to feed the film was not included which make the job very difficult if not impossible. on the 35 mm you have to adjust the film since the view finder does not fit the entire negative.

Needed to convert old family slides to digital format files. The quality was wonderful. This device is easy to use, but the not-so-automatic slide advancer doesn't work well when you stack the slides, so you really need to pop them in individually. That is all. Otherwise, terrific gizmo.
