I use to have a much larger one and thought it was necessary for my delivery driver needs (which means, you're grabbing your phone off the magnet 20 -30 times a work day). But it's holding up great. I didn't even have to use the plates bc my phone cover had some metal on it. It's a great price too!

My only complaint is that using it on AC vent affects the air flow. The weight of phone when attached forces flow downward and around the phone. If it opened wider I could attach it to other dash components. All and all it still functions better that the old suction cup devices on the dash.
