Didn't want to "glue" a phone mount to my dashboard. I don't use my CD player on my car so the location is perfect for me. Super simple to install. Can be removed easily. Very sturdy. I love it.

Great solution for mounting cellphones. Doesn’t take up a cup holder or add bulk to your dash or block your view. Blends nicely and holds firm. Easy to install and durable. Love the low profile .

Not sure why Automakers insist on including a CD player these days. This CD slot mount Phone holder is perfect - you do need to make sure you read the instruction because the locking mechanism is a bit hard and feels like it may break when you first engage it - there is also a small clip that need to be installed. The magnet is very strong - my phone will not sag or slide down even in the roughest of roads. Magnet is so strong that, depending how you pull the phone off, it will work the whole thing out a bit at a time if you are not careful - lifting an edge off first makes it much easier remove. The metal part that goes on the phone is OK - a protector plastic goes on first - there are specific instruction on adding it with and without a cover - so again, refer to the instructions. The metal finish is good but it will get scratches over time.

My phone is already magnetized to my wallet case so I can't really comment on that side of it. The mount itself slips right into my CD and stays there no matter how many bumps I hit. I'm very pleased with how easy it is to use because of the magnet.

Very easy to install and use. I like this product better than a regular phone mount because it’s lower than the regular ones making it easier to concentrate on the road and not be blocked by the dashboard mounts.

Sturdy and no complicated installation and the perfect height. The magnets work great, easy to attach and remove my phone, and does not obstruct your view out the window.

Had another CD slot phone holder. Had to adjust the clamps to place and remove the phone. The magnet makes placement much easier and is strong enough unless you plan to go off road.

This phone mount is perfect for my car! My dash is kind of weirdly set up in my escape, so a vent clip doesn’t work as well. This mount has a strong magnet that just sits under my phone case and I can just pop it right onto the mount! Looks like magic! The ONLY thing that made it not 5 stars is that, no matter how hard I try, I can’t get it to feel super secure in the CD drive. It doesn’t come out, which is good, but there is some wobble when my phone is mounted. Other than that, great product!

My daughter has an older car with a CD player. She didn't even know what a CD was! This is a good use of the CD slot on her dash. The holder fits snugly and doesn't move when her phone is on it.

I have tried everything to hold my phone/ipod. This is the best thing! It's a sturdy hold in the car slot and the magnet is a strong sturdy hold!

Make sure your car has a CD slot, if so, you probably don't use it so this is a great alternative to clipping to your vent and blocking air flow. Two magnets included along with film to protect your phone. If you use wireless charging often, look into details about the conflicts. I don't use wireless charging so this potential conflict didn't matter to me. Magnet head on the mount swivels to angle your device to best suite viewing angle.

Compared to mounts that grip onto vents which do not hold tight, this CD mount is secure and strong. Works perfectly for my particular dash configuration! Before purchasing, consider the location of any display screens and controls close to the CD slot before purchasing, as well as alternate locations on consoles or dashboard where suction mounts might work better. It could interfere with knobs or other controls when a phone is mounted, depending on your vehicle. For my car, it fits perfectly. The magnet is strong and holds the phone securely with easy removal, and the CD mount is tight. Very pleased with this item.

We don't use our CD player in our new car since everything is on the phones or accessed thru the car apps. We've tried other stands that go on the top, the vents and the console and they didn't work - too hard to adjust/see/use the car features it sits around with the other products. This is much less clutter on the instrument panel, easy to view and move and we can get to the car features and the console is usable for what it was meant for! Going to do this in our older vehicle. Recommend giving it a try.
