The truth is nothing is perfect, but this rating would be if some of the features would work as advertised. So far, there has been no indication of rug detection AT ALL. Like, it’ll plow through them, get stuck on em, and spray them with water, almost to the point that it’s comical how that could’ve been advertised as a “feature.” Some things it really fails at too are stuck on food that had set overnight, and basic navigation. I’m holding out for navigation to improve as it gets to mapping out the home better. BUT, there are some things to be said for this mop. As a matter of just upkeeping the floors and managing dirt that gets checked in on a regular basis without having to really worry about it, this thing’s great! I specifically wanted it to dock itself and take care of itself for extended periods of time so that I don’t have to worry about upkeep and just come home to a clean house. It also goes to the edge of walls and gets really close to all the corners, which surprised me. The digital assistant side in software support is also amazing with this brand, and I’m super excited to actually have a cleaning device that works properly with Google assistant. I also have a Shark vacuum in the mix of this that runs every day, so that may have an affect on the actual performance of this mop. Regardless, my floors are now staying clean from a shedding long haired cat and my dirty shoes. The bathroom floor was probably the only area in the house where I really needed clean up from cat litter, colored dry shampoo powder, and moisture, that collected on the edge of one wall, and it handled it like a champ. I didn’t even really notice how bad that side had gotten until the mop started cleaning it, so it was the perfect test. Overall, this isn’t for everyone, but when you’re working anywhere up to 80 hours a week, this stuff can easily get out of hand for anyone. BOTH automated vacuum and mop together have been super effective at collectively keeping my home clean, and for ME, that was worth it.

    M6 and I7 dynamic duo

I got the I7 and M6 price matched as a combo over the holidays and saved quite a bit, pretty much got the m6 free. My 2 story has mostly hard flooring so take that into consideration. Initially my kids and I spent alot if time watching the robots navigate the house. They were seemingly lost, cruising around with no real dedication to any room. The 2nd time they both seemed to be determined to follow walls and borders, still not thoroughly cleaning. So after that, I got notification that the little guys were ready for prime time and asked me to set rooms, which I did. I did this per robot on each story, and was given 2 maps as a result. I was rather skeptical about them at this point because the cleaning left alot to be desired from something so $$$. So I targeted a specific room and hit clean on the I7 and was amazed at the difference in the results. It went from wandering around aimlessly the 1st 2 episodes to b-lining straight to rooms around couches and chairs, night and day. It took several passes the 3rd clean and really left very little to nothing at all behind cleaning in rows. This actually was the case for both robots. Since then scheduling their routines was a breeze, and they don't seem to miss a beat. I like them and I guess if I was to judge between them the M6 obviously cleans deeper, fits into tighter spaces, and makes the floor shiny, Yet requires more maintenance from the user. The tech in the I7 makes it quicker to find rooms and seems slightly more at home navigating I'd say. Just to see, I let the dog hair pile up for a week at set them loose. The I7 got most of everything and the m6 got the left over dust and brought it to a shine. I'd buy them again, but I'll admit I'm curious of how well a high end hybrid would compete for the $$$ -1 star because hybrids do both for cheaper and I'd imagine that 2 robots would take longer than 1, especially with initial set up. I'm a little surprised that the results of mapping a floor cannot be shared between robots, each have to map the area separately. Also the I7 didn't get all of the hair out of the carpet when it was allowed to pile up, even on the 2nd try. More of a maintenance machine on carpet, suction isn't the strongest, initially use your standard vacuum before relying on the I7. The M6 has issues with elevation changes between my tile kitchen and my laminated wood floor living area. The M6 treats the transitions like walls and will not cross them.

I really like this thing.. I found that it did leave streaks with the single use pads, but not so much with the reusable pads. i also purchased an roomba i3. to vaccuum before mopping. the dry sweep function is okay, but if you have dogs, you will find the wheels cluttered with hair. but all in all.. a great product.

We have been using the Braava jet M6 for about 14 months. We have 3 little ones in the house so our floors always need cleaning. The M6 doesn't use the most effective design. The amount of water it sprays is adequate, and can be adjusted However the pad does not move vertically so it doesn't not apply much pressure to the floor, limiting scrubbing potential. On the other end of the spectrum, the pad is too low clear all but the minimal of junctions between rooms. See attached photos. Our entire first level is hardwood with no junctions between rooms, but the kitchen is ceramic tile and there is a 1/4 inch beveled junction where wood meets tile. The robot can usually go from the tile to the wood fine, although sometimes it will get stuck there and generate an error saying "Robot has fallen off of a cliff". However, it cannot never back on the tile surface because the pad is too low and gets caught on the minimal junction. So essentially if it leaves the tile before it finishes mopping the kitchen it can't get back up that small lip and and cannot finish cleaning the kitchen and get to it's charging station. Our iRobot i3+ has no issues traversing this junction multiple times a day. A better design would have been to give the robot the ability to lift and lower the pad as needed for clearing junctions or scrubbing more on dirtier areas. This robot has no moving parts except the wheels. When it does manage to stay in the kitchen it cleans adequately though, so that is a plus. It also cannot clean in the dark, which is inconvenient but not a deal breaker for us.

This robot is so quiet, and it works great with my Roomba J8+. I set it to follow behind the Roomba, so it dusts the room right after vacuuming. Then, I heat up some distilled water, add the solution, and off it goes to mop. The mapping was a little off, as it placed an obstacle to avoid in front of my oven & no clue why. I need to re-map, but it's fine for now. There is a little streaking after it mops, but it wears off in no time & not a big deal. I love how clean the floor stays, even with 2 dogs that have their own dog door & 2 kids actively going in & out. We don't have a housekeeper anymore since I got these robots, so they're actually saving us money & our floors are cleaner than ever! Very satisfied!

I was hoping to enjoy this purchase though I found out soon enough it’s more hassle then it’s worth. First off even when it does work it leaves streaks. I tried all water settings, cleaning strengths and both usable and reusable pads with little change. The next issue was the amount of time’s it got stuck. Like it’s partner (my roomba i3) it usually found away to stop mid job or returning home (and yes I did prep the area before they cleaned). I thought this wouldn’t be the case since it has all the sensors my i3 DOES NOT yet the same result. The only plus I found was the ability to clean individual areas of your home though setup is NOT very intuitive. You make a line in app and hope it matches up with the actual areas you want to clean. Now unlike my i3 the mop lost its online connection more than once during my 2 week trial with little explanation or fix. Another issue is maintenance cost and since you can “allegedly” ONLY use there cleaning solution it can get pretty pricey in addition to the cost of the unit itself. Unless you pre-spray your area or something now thinking in hindsight. In the end I returned the unit and I’m waiting for roombas next mop which hopefully adds some type of scrub function and less streaking among other things. Since at this point it seems cheaper to give a child or friend $20 to do the job for you if you can’t. LordJnx

We are pleased with this device. It is convenient, easy to use with iRobot app, and works well with our iRobet i3 vacuum. It does have problems with certain difficult to clean spots, but it is no problem to take a moment to hit those spots by hand afterwards and the floor looks great after it gets done. The pads are easy to wash on delicate and it really saves a ton of time and energy.

Yes is expensive compare to a jet 380t but it will do a mush better job. This vacuum has all the technology needed to clean must of your house and with the right setting it will do an spotless cleaning. I kind of monitor the behavior of the m6 and it really cover must of the areas and because of the small side it make it easy to navigate under furniture and around tight spaces. The only down side it can’t go over anything more than 3mm and so I have to put it in the bathroom manually and also in my kitchen. The water bottle is sufficient to compete the job with 1 battery charge. The robot like to clean and touch up areas laser track to perfection. I order 2 packages of reusable pads for like 50 bucks. Total of 4 reusable pads. This will last me for a while and it will keep me away from those disposable pads that at 8 dollars the package soon will add up to 100’s and plus I want to keep it environmental friendly. I was originally thinking of buying iLife w400 but I didn’t and I’m glad I go for this. You pay more now but your get to keep a good manufacturer support and free ground delivery in any accessory order trow iRobot website. Finally don’t forget to always vacuum before using this map robot. Floor must be clean and with no dust. I always use my Neato D3 pro and together they do a good job.

If you’re looking for a mop to just do a quick job and do general floor cleaning this may work for you. The issue I have is that it leaves streaks and doesn’t really do any sort of scrubbing to get a good clean. Other users have reported the streaks, and I did email iRobot to tell them about it. They asked me if I was using their cleaning solution (yes) and if I was using the “approved” pads (yes). They then asked me to send a video (which I did). After all that they then said it would be “escalated”. I haven’t heard from them since. This really would be better if it had a spinning brush and a pad in the back to help scrub and smooth out the streaks.

My Wife loves it I gave it to her as an Early Christmas present to help her clean the house. We have over 2000 feet on the first floor mainly hardwoods. You still have to use a little elbow grease for tough stains. But it does a great job. We run the vacuum first and mop. Super quiet. Her name is Peggy Sue lol

I purchased the Braava and Roomba bundle and I’ve had it for less than a week and have already decided that it’s going back. I don’t know if I just received a dud or what, but it simply does not work. It cannot go over any thresholds, even when marked in the smart map in the iRobot app, and it cannot map anything, even a small, nearly empty room with a lot of light. It retireved the map from the Roomba, and still isn’t able clean anything. I carried it to my bathroom to wet mop in there, and it just went around, without actually spraying any cleaning solution, finally it backed itself into a corner and kept rotating and going back into that same corner. It would avoid a head-on collision with a wall, slowly back up and turn, and then ram itself full speed into the wall behind it. I finally gave up and put it back on its charging base since it couldn’t go over the runner into my room. Tried to get it to mop the room that it’s in (small room, full tile floor, no area rugs) it would run around for a minute and then return to the charging base stating it failed to complete its job. One more attempt, and it kept ramming itself into a table, did not even attempt to maneuver around it, just kept hitting it for a good minute until I gave up and manually placed it back on the base. The photo shows the map that it attempted to create for the room. The room is a decent size, has no major obstacles and is most definetly rectangular, not triangular. I was so looking forward to the convenience of this product and really wanted to love it, but it is near useless. iRobot is priding itself with 30+ years of innovation but there’s no way it took 30 years to develop this. You would think with all of the technology that went into it and its price point, it would be able to at least map and clean the room it is in, but it can’t even do that. Very, very disappointing.

Ok wow I was afraid to buy this robo mop. Already own the i7, which I love and would ask to marry me, but there’s no place for her to wear the ring! Back to the robo mop, this is so good, and quiet. I use the disposable pads. Comes with 2 and u can buy replacements cheap ($1 per pad) online. I have tile floors and it works great. Being short it can mop under the furniture which we never did. Very happy and it’s programmable from phone with app.

This is a part of my cleaning dream team. I own Roomba and Brava now and it it is such great and inventive product. It has function of mapping (the reason I upgraded to this models) and the job cant be more easy. It works with Alexa, the app is super easy to navigate with and it just works. You do need to change pad and water container after each use but it cleans my living room and kitchen in one take. Absolutely love it. It works quiet and if used regularly it keeps wooden floor very clean.

I have paired this with the roomba i7+ and they are the ultimate duo. I have them scheduled ever other night to clean the floors while the house sleeps. It’s wonderful to wake up to clean floors and you can’t tell that there are two dogs and three children that terrorize on a daily basis. My recommendation is to get the reusable pads. I bought a few of them and alternate them every other morning after it’s mopped and throw them in with a load of towels. My only con is it won’t go in the kitchen because of the little lift in the floor. But it took hours off my weekly pickups. So well worth it to me.

I was sure hoping to like this mop as much as I love the Roomba I 3+. My room a works like a charm and had absolutely no issues mapping out my home and doing its job as advertised. The Brave jet on the other hand, after numerous tries just fails over and over again to map out my main floor. I have a open concept home with the only obstacles being my sectional couch and my kitchen table. I’ve tried to reboot the jet, leaving all the lights on, relocating the base to no success. I wish it could use the same map as my Roomba but for some reason that’s not an option. The Braava jet had no sense of direction, often spinning in circles and bumping into the same wall often. After 2 weeks of trying my best to like it and make it work, it would just fail me every time. I thought maybe it was just me but after reading reviews elsewhere, there’s a good amount of people having the same issues as me. And to add insult to injury, there’s only 1 cleaning solution recommended to use with the jet which is Bona, as they claim any other solution can damage the sprayer, and the Bona solution is almost impossible to find anywhere online or even in stores.

The Braava jet m6 is an excellent assistant for mopping wood and tile floors in our home. We purchased the reusable pads and its easy to brush them clean with a little bit of water and reattach. Others complain of Braava wheel streaks, but on our floor it's barely visible. We could spend 5 minutes and touch up those streaks, but it's a minor issue for us. The floor looks so clean after the vacuum and mop robots complete their task. We do pickup small rugs and check our home for no clutter before we turn loose our irobots.

We purchase this as part of the iRobot bundle deal at Best Buy. This was our first mop vacuum, we have owned several iRobot dry vacuums. This mop vac pairs with your iRobot vacuum and can come out and mop once your Roomba has finished. One thing to note, is that each vacuum has its own floor mapping so Braava does not mop the exact same areas as Roomba, but if you have let it complete a floor map and have same room names on both maps this feature works well. Wondering why they can’t share a map? According to research iRobot may change this in the future but these 2 devices so different jobs and can get into spots the other cannot. Overall, this does a good job in both dry and wet mopping. Would recommend.
