Easy to use, does all the work for me, I just have to empty the dirt collector and charge it up for another round of cleaning, I just sit and read my book and have a cup of tea while my house gets cleaned

This is the best thing we ever brought. It's help a lot. Just pay the warranty because the charge broke fast.

Spent a ton of money on a shotty automated vacuum. Only works sometimes. Battery currently won't charge and customer service is equally as unhelpful.

It cleaned pretty good but it had a few problems with it. First it would never go back to its charging station unless I put it in front of the charger and second it kept getting stuck under my couches and I would get a email letting me know its stuck. I took it back to Best Buy and I got my refund back.

This is a very useful product. It does a great job at picking up dog hair. My only complaint is that it only runs for an hour before it requires charging.

It has made cleaning the house so easy. . really like it. The charge is not enough to clean 4000 sq ft at once but I divide the house into 2 parts and get it cleaned on different days. Picks up all the hair and navigates easily between the furniture but does not clean the corners.

Used this product for a week. Works great with the phone app. But I started noticing it will not go back to it's charging station once the job was finished. after a week of use it just kept happening. I loved the idea of having a machine do the vacuuming for you, but this just didn't work for me.

The most impressive feature so far is how well it cleans. We have two pets and our floors have never been this clean. It has its quirks...sometimes getting stuck and over-cleaning some areas but the positives outweigh the negatives by a long shot. Keeping "things" picked up helps. Phone charging cords and other items like this can cause problems. Would definitely purchase again.

Not happy at all. For me the biggest problem was the "charging dock". It cannot be placed out of the way. It needs to be out in the open. Not ok by me. Enough th make me return it.

We bought the Roomba to help clean our house. It is not better than conventional vacuuming. The Roomba does not deep clean and it misses many spots due to the awkward cleaning pattern. It is also noisy, but it will find its way back to the charging station. It also goes around chairs and other furniture well. This robot was used in the kitchen area and only on hardwood floors.

We got this on a super sale and were excited to have it clean up our house a few times during the week. Sadly that's where the excitement ends. Apparently my main floor was too much for it to clean on one charge so it would die and have to be plugged back in to charge. Also it's cleaning pattern was random versus methodical. I guess this model would be good for smaller homes or apartments, but not the main floor of a larger 4 bedroom house. We upgraded to a 960.

I would have purchased sooner if I knew how much time this would save our family! I love the Roomba 690 and can't believe all the dirt and dog hair it picks up daily. The battery lasts about 60 minutes, but charges fairly quickly. It isn't overly loud, but it isn't quiet either. We use it every day and clean it out every use. Our house just feels cleaner and I swear it has helped our sinuses!

I bought myself a Bobsweep Pet for Christmas but was incredibly disappointed in it after a week or two when it started to not work properly. I returned it and purchased this Roomba instead. I immediately noticed that it was more effective (and faster! @@@@@@@ than the Bob was from the beginning. The Roomba has a hard time finding it's charging dock most days, but we're working on what we can do to make things easier for it. So far I love it! I think it works really well and helps me keep a clean house.

A "Must Have" if you have a dog that sheds

This product is the best ever. We have a Papillon dog and they really shed their long hair. We use this every other day and I can't believe the canister is full of hair, lint, and dust (Arizona for you) after each use. Our home is 1835SF and the battery dies so we can't do the entire house at one time. That's ok...I do half of the house one day, the remaining half the next. I've to clean the exterior and charging contactor as they get dirty and will put dark spots on the white baseboards. This is the 2nd week I've had it and so far it's a winner!

It works fairly well however there are a few issues. I have to pick up any charging cord or it will rip it out if the wall. It fits under my dresser but can't come back out so that's a chore to retrieve it. Need to block the dresser and my bathroom cabinet for the same reason, and it becomes annoying to do this every time. It also doesn't do well with rugs, thin or thick ones like bathroom or doorway. Gets stuck. Also my cat hates it and hissed at it every time. Not a set the schedule and forget about it thing. It also can never seem to find home base on its own. However still worrks well with a little bit of work on my end.

The hardest working robot in NY

I love this robot. The amount of work that it gets done and the space that it covers is amazing. I won't lie I was a little skeptical when I first saw it and though that it would just get some quick spot cleans done around the house. Not only are the spot cleaning covered in this little guy day, but it does a decent job handling some of the more heavy-duty jobs that a hose of 5 human and one cat can throw at it. This won't replace your deep cleaning but on a day to day it really keeps up. After removing the Christmas tree, I set this little guy to the task of second broom and I was amazed at how well it did. This model will also integrate with Google home and makes a great alarm clock if you add it to a G-routine. Cons: 1. Wires are this guys kryptonite 2. Has problems with dark patterns in area rugs - triggers a false "stuck on a cliff" alarm 3. This model is a random bump and run clean - you can't tell it to clean a certain room 4. A bit loud when operating 5. The charging unit slips when the robot tries to return home on hard surface floors - I had to add traction stickers to the underside of the dock to help.

I was hesitant about getting an iRobot. Seemed like a gimmick to me. Boy was I wrong. The Roomba 690 is a great wifi enabled vacuum that gets the job done. It's a bit noisy running at about 65 decibels but If you set it to clean while you're away that won't be an issue. Set up is fairly straight forward. Download the app and follow the instructions and you should be good to go in a few minutes. Pros- Easy set up, Alexa enabled, self docking when the job is complete, kids love it. Also, an extra filter is included. Cons- have to fully charge when you get it (3 hrs), a bit noisy, doesn't always respond to the app. Overall the Roomba is very nice to have. You will still need to pick up a bit before letting him run loose. Basically anything you don't want to run over with an upright you don't want the Roomba going over. Very cool gadget that helps you around the house. If you're in the market for a Roomba you will be pleased with the 690.

We received our Roomba 690 2 weeks ago through the BestBuy Tech Insider Network program. The unit arrived in perfect condition, with the Retail packaging protected by a shipping box. Inside the retail box we found: - 1 fully assembled Roomba 690. - 1 Charging stand with AC power cord. - 1 'Virtual Wall", including 2 Duracell AA batteries. - 1 Cleaning Tool (for cleaning the Roomba's brushes). - 1 extra dust filter. - 1 Setup guide, 1 Manual, and warranty info card. Setup was easy, taking only 5 minutes to follow iRobot's instructions, including downloading the Android app and connecting the Roomba to our home network. This model of Roomba can use the the basic functions of the Android app, including: - Start, Pause, or Stop a cleaning job. - Send the Roomba back "Home" to its charging stand. - Schedule one cleaning job per day to auto-start. - Check results of previous jobs After allowing the Roomba to fully charge, I tested it in our dining room, which holds our counter-height table and 8 chairs. This is the most "obstacle-dense" room in the house, and I was interested in seeing how well the Roomba could navigate around all those chair and table legs. I expected the Roomba to begin by "mapping" the edges of the room and then follow some sort of overlapping pattern to make sure it cleaned the entire floor. Instead, it began cleaning in a seemingly random series of passes, changing direction when it came to an obstacle. I left it to finish the job, and found myself pleasantly surprised by the results. Although the Roomba's round shape prevents it from cleaning deep into tight corners, it actually cleaned very well, even under the table and chairs, and along the baseboards. Our home has Laminate flooring everywhere except the hallway and bathrooms, which are Vinyl tile. We have area rugs, welcome mats, and transition strips in the usual places, (and toddler toys in the unusual ones). I have only seen the 690 have trouble transitioning between the bare floor and an area rug once. A small rug in the kitchen had one corner flipped over, and the Roomba got hung up on it somehow. I let it work the problem out on its own, and after several minutes of a mildly amusing robotic "hissy fit", it was able to free itself and continue cleaning. The transition strips between the Laminate and tile floors have been no problem at all. This model of Roomba is intended for cleaning one room only, or possibly 2 adjoining rooms. When I activated it to clean the dining room (where it's charging stand is), it also wandered into the kitchen and cleaned it. I had the "Virtual Wall" set to keep the Roomba from wandering off down the hallway at the other end of the room, and that worked perfectly. The GOOD: - Easy Setup - Decent cleaning - picks up everything from Honey-nut Cheerios to fine dust. - Good battery life - finishes 2 rooms with plenty of power to spare. - Object avoidance works well! - We have an 18 month-old boy in the house who has NO problem with leaving his toys everywhere (the little rebel! @@@@@@@ and to date, the Roomba hasn't eaten anything it shouldn't. The BAD: - 18-month old boys are apparently genetically driven to try to RIDE the Roomba while it's cleaning. The Roomba does NOT respond well to this! This is NOT a fault in the Roomba, but it bears mentioning. - This model is intended for single-room cleaning, so allowing the Roomba to wander into adjoining rooms or down a hallway will frequently result in the unit being unable to find its way back to the charging dock, requiring you to carry it back "Home". - The Roomba is actually a bit louder than I expected. It's not nearly as loud as our Dyson, but we avoid running it during nap time. This model works well for keeping a single room (or maybe 2 adjoining rooms) vacuumed. For larger homes or multi-room cleaning, I would recommend upgrading to the Roomba 960 or 980.
