Ability to run daily is awesome. I have 4 cats and a 120 lb dog and with the robot, my house has never been so clean. No more fur balls!!

You get what you pay for applies here. Pros: Suction is MUCH stronger than 2 competitors I have used. App feature is really easy to use. Doesn't crash into things. Covers entire house in a logical path. Cons: Will not climb onto shag rug. Edge brush grabbed a shoelace and dragged shoe around until it burnt up the motor. Called support, BUT new one delivered in 2 days no charge or hassle.

I have all laminate floors in my home with few transition pieces and a few low pile rugs. All obstacles were no problem and cleaning worked great. App worked great!

Picked up this unit on sale for 200.00 off. SOOOO happy with it. Started with a 6 series and did not like it at all. Wasted time and weak patterns of use caused it to constantly repeat coverage of areas resulting in very long cleaning times, very inefficient. Buying the 6 series is like a gateway drug once you realize the potential of the 980! Not only does it know where is has been, but it also knows when it need to go home and charge and when done charging picks up where it was last working. IT IS FANTASTIC. I am amazed by how much it can pickup and cram into the trash bin. It tells you when it needs to be emptied. It also comes with two electronic borders. Game changer. Have pet food on the floor and do not want your new floor wizard to spill them? No problem use the radius mode on the border and you get a virtual wall to protect them from the wizard. Have a room, hallway, or closet you want the wizard to stay out of? No problem put it in straight line mode and you are good to go. I am so impressed! Everyone who comes over to the house on a cleaning day is amazed at how well it works! I then pull out the app and show them a perfect drawing of our home floor plan that the wizard uses / makes every time it cleans.. You know EXACTLY where it went. Oh yea.. Also, good sized home with two cats.. runs twice a week and am so happy to have clean fur free floors. Highly recommended.

The Roomba 980 is an excellent vacuum. We have it scheduled to run 4 days per week on our main floor. Harry (the vacuum) takes a while to do the main floor as it is about 1000 square feet. Although the battery in the 980 is the largest of it's class, Harry has to recharge for about 45 minutes in the middle of the job. He takes about 3.5 hours to do a double pass over all the floors, including his short nap. We have a mixture of flooring - tile, carpet, wood, and rugs. He tackles them all! Harry has his work cut out for him, too. We have 2 Border Collie dogs and two toddlers that make cleaning a challenge. The App on the 980 is great. It informs the user if he gets stuck, if he needs a short nap (recharge), or if his bin is full. We can also start him up remotely if we want to have him work while we're out for the day and it was his scheduled day off - and he doesn't require overtime pay. We have a few other vacuums in the house (Dyson) and find we're rarely using them now. One improvement for all robot vacuums that I'd like to see is the ability to do stairs... stair vacuuming is the worst!

i HAD THE 880 ROOMBA, AND IT WAS GOOD BUT DID NOT WORK ON MY DARK CARPETS BECAUSE OF THE SENSORS. THIS ONE WORKS GREAT EVERYWHERE. I AM IN LOVE AND SO ACCURATE

I am very happy with the product, but there are some gotchas that might mean it isn't for you. I have a 1 story ranch so not sure about how it works when you move it to another floor. The clean takes much longer than a human would take, but probably does a better job, since it goes over the same areas multiple times. (may get better with software updates) If you have a rough surface like a rug with deep circular grooves, like me, it is almost a deal breaker. The vacuum gets stuck if a table leg is in just the right spot. I reposition my table when cleaning and resolve the issue. Light rugs will tend to curl or bunch up. The robot has difficulty with going from hardwood to very thick pile rugs. It does go under beds and gets some areas that normally get ignored, so overall a great product.

We have a two bed room mixed carpet and tile home with two cats and a teenager. The Roomba 980 was easy to set up and we were amazed at how well it vacumms getting fur and every tracked in piece of debri and dust. It does get a bit confused on dining room table chairs and can spend too much time just trying to find away out. We have opted to place the chairs on the table at night and problem solved when it vacuums each morning. We have also found it will get wedged under certain furniture. But this can be resolved using the "beam" barriers supplied. We opted to make small blocks to rsise the table up a 1/2" giving the Roomba space to get under it since our cats frequent that spot. Upstairs ... hardwood floors, tile and carpet. It does great. Recommend making sure all doors to rooms are fully open. If you don't you can find your Roomba trying to get out of a locked room. I was uncertain of the ability of it to sense the edges of a stair case but it does it very well. Just be sure the edge sensors are cleaned per the requirements. If you have a round landing... we do ... that's a bit trick for it. We put a small object right there before it gets started to prevent any issues per the manual. It's been a month and it just completed its 50th run having cleaned 12900 sft. Honestly this keeps the house cleaner than me doing it with my Hoover Wind-tunnel. Now if they only make one that does stairs and furniture.

I have now had my Roomba for a couple of months. I bought the high end Roomba as I wanted the towers. The towers work perfect. I placed them near my pet bowls to keep them from getting knocked around and food and water spilling out of them. I could weep with joy. Every day I go home to floors clean enough to walk barefoot on. I have no carpet and hate the feeling of dirt on my feet. I feel the Roomba cleans the floor better than I ever did. I love that the Roomba that sends you messages if there is an issue. (For example the Roomba gets stuck) Make no mistake. The Roomba means business. You will need to be sure to keep your floor free from cat toys, hair ties, socks, cords, etc. The Roomba will suck up these items and get stuck. I also love the option of either running the Roomba when the bin is full, or you can program it to return to home base if the bin is full. You can also schedule cleanings for specific times each day. I have mine set for one time during the week, and later in the day on the weekends. The Roomba was worth every penny I spent!

The iRobot Roomba 980 vacuum is an amazing robotic vacuum machine. It does a great job cleaning the house and has complete and thorough coverage.

The Roomba is one of the best purchases I have made. It cleans the carpets, tile and wood floors. This little thing also goes under some furniture that is way too heavy to move, so a traditional vacuum cannot reach. This vacuum also gets the edges better than our Dyson does. The cons: it does get stuck sometimes. A virtual wall can help, but you have to turn it on manually each time. Honestly, it is easier on the back to just put a book or dog toy in the spots where it gets stuck; Roomba will bump into it and turn away. If it does get stuck and you are not home, the battery will run down. The “find Roomba” will not work if the battery is drained and/or the Internet connection is poor. I find it best to run while I am at home, doing other chores. That small vacuum picks up a lot! It is amazing how much fits in the waste bin! Be prepared to have to dump the waste bin a lot the first few times you run the vacuum. I may have to get the mopping robot next. :)

Give your robot a name and set him off from your mobile phone, though the app. Or just set up times and dates for it to clean!! Sets off and keeps cleaning until the job is done. If it needs to dock and recharge, it goes back to where it last was in the job to continue. Small enough to get under the couch and entertainment center, so it cleans where you normally don't! Now you can have your house vacuumed every day and all you have to do is empty it! Great purchase!!!

We were hoping this vacuum would do light work between hand vacuuming but it does a better job than our regular vacuum. So, we use it all the time! We love it, but have found we prefer to block the vacuum into a part of the house with physical barriers like pillows or boxes. Our completely open floor plan confuses it, but limiting its access for a single session works great even if the section has several rooms. If we have blocked it into a part of the house that doesn't have access to the charging station, we pick it up and place it on the charger when it finishes. No big deal. We found we didn't like the virtual wall barriers because we have openings that 15+ feet across. The virtual barriers have a beam that flares out the farther it is from the tower and that doesn't work well with our larger openings. The vacuum gets confused. Physical barriers work well and are easier to control with an open floor plan. We may also just need more practice with the virtual barriers. Just love performance. It picks up the dog hair very well and doesn't get clogged up by my long hair. Very easy to maintain too. It is not fast though! Can take an hour to do a large room (25 ft2), because it does two passes. Because of this, we set it up to run when we leave the house. Then we don't care how long it takes.

Purchased for myself, best investment ever. Cleans our whole house on the main floor. I love it and wish I would have purchased before now.

This Roomba has kept my floor spotless. It adjusts based on carpet or hard surfaces. It has my 13 year old bedroom carpet looking better gam it’s looked in years. Wish I had bought one sooner. On the saver mode it will run for hours before needing charged. But may need emptied depending on your cleaning schedule and if you have pets etc.

Wow this little guy cleans everywhere it’s definitely a worthy investment with no more sweeping at my house !! would definitely recommend

This robot vacuum does exactly what it says it does! I think it is pretty amazing. The only shortcoming is the size of the dust bin. I have all hard surface floors in my house, and 2 small dogs, so the floors are always in need of attention. It can't do my living room and my kitchen without needing to be emptied...which is an issue if I set it to work while I'm sleeping or while I"m away. But it does a beautiful job. Scares the dogs but so does a regular vacuum cleaner, so that's no big deal.

Very intelligent, remembers multiple rooms and handles lower carpet very well.

We are at first leary of such a small little vacuum. We have a dog and her hair is everywhere. On top of that we have tile floors, area rugs, and the bedrooms are w-w carpeting. This little guy is amazing. It does a very good job of picking up the hair and dirt. I thought it was going to miss half of one of the rooms when it went out and did the hall but it was just fooling me. It returned to that room and picked up right where it left off. This newest model is simply amazing to watch as it goes around table legs and never forgets where it left off. Definite recommend buy.

My daughter purchased this 'Maid' for me about 1 year ago and I have never been so pleased with a product before! My IRoomba does exactly what it says it will do. I do keep my clean and change filter once a month for great cleaning. I love the remote app. Set it for daily cleaning and it starts up and goes! I have open steps to the basement and it stops on a dime and goes the other way. Needless to say I'm very please with this product.
