We have 5 children 3 dogs and 1 cat. This machine works well and our floors have never been cleaner. I am still amazed at the amount of dust and pet hair "robot marina" picks up. The only issue i have is a human one, the kids constantly leave their socks or clothing on the floor. Also legos and small toy parts do get Robot Marina stuck. I would say we are an extreme residential case, and it works well. 4 out of 5 only because it was pretty pricey.

Cancel the made service and buy this!! I know this model was more expensive than the lower models. But totally worth it! This one vacuums in lines...leaving the nice lines on the carpet! The lower models seemed to bounce around in a awkward no pattern. This does the line by line. We have dogs. We have to empty it every day. No biggie

In short? I’d buy again. Does a really good job at vacuuming carpet and hard wood floors - is a bit loud- so can’t run while you sleep. However - it’s a great addition when you have three dogs!

We hate to vacuum so this is the solution we needed! This thing picks up stuff like crazy - cat hair, cat food, dust, debris, q-tips, you name it. The noise level is high but tolerable when on carpet and actually not bad at all on hard floors. Our home is mostly hardwood with some braided rugs. The Roomba will occasionally get tangled on lighter rugs, like a bathroom mat. One cat is terrified of it and runs at the first chime. The other cat doesn't seem to care. Something to keep in mind with pets. It can't clean what it can't access - behind toilet, under couches, behind doors so they still need done another way. The app is helpful - shows status, history, errors and more. Overall, very happy with this little gem. Definitely a worthwhile investment.

I had my doubts that Roomba-980 was as good as I have read. I have a main greatroom that I had in mind for this thing. With the base tucked in a corner behind a couch which the Roomba is able to slide under, it stays out of sight and out of mind. I have it run daily while at work covering my 800 square feet room in about 45 mins. On the weekends I take it up stairs and let it do its thing. The suction on this is incredible. It picks dirt and pet hair up every single time. If you are considering one of these and have a large space to clean, don't hesitate. It is worth every dollar.

I have pets and this helps me keep up with the pet hair. Yes you empty the bin often but it holds a lot of hair and I would rather this than sweep 3 times a day. My daughter wants one. Nice on the carpet too!

This was my first robotic vacuum purchase and was dubious it would be effective, especially since I have two large short-hair dogs. I am so pleased with my Roomba, it works better than I expected, especially on frieze carpeting. I hurt my back and haven't been able to vacuum properly. Now my house is as clean as I want it to be with minimal effort.

This unit is very smart around objects and when we clean the dust bin it's obvious this unit picks up an impressive amount of stuff in the carpets! Very happy with the purchase and the kids love not vacuuming anymore!

Love it. Picks up my dog fur all over and under beds. Just gets stuck and needs to charge a lot.

We share our house with an Australian Shepard and a cat. Decided we needed a Roomba 960. Worked well but we liked the features of the 980 in that the suction increases on a rug. Made the switch. Wow! It started picking up hair the 960 missed. Proof of performance. With each passing day, you can tell the house is getting cleaner. The beta program that monitors wifi is a great plus and confirms what we see with our eero network. 980 is a great product.

New made at home! Love it! It gets stuck a lot but we’ll raise couches. It also gets full a lot but that’s ok. Little yellow brush stopped working after 3 weeks. Went to best buy and they replaced it for a new one. Love coming home to a clean house. Overall, it’s good.

So far I'm pleased with 'Lucy" (yeah, I named her) Love the way it cleans and recharges itself. I clean filter & bin after every use. Takes about 2 hours for a 1700 square foot area. The motor kicks in when running over small rugs. Home is Wood & Tile floors. As I said, only been 2 days.........so I'll keep you posted. Is this worth 900.00? To me, its too much.

This is by far the best gift my husband has bought me. It cleans the house in places my Kirby could not reach. I constantly have a clean carpet which is important to me since we have a baby who crawls around. The vacuum is great at picking up all of the dog hair. I would recommend this to everyone I know.

The Roomba is an awesome and fun item, but it leaves you with a false sense of clean. While your floors look super clean, you still need to use a vacuum as the Roomba does not clean the deep dirt. It leaves a lot of sand, dirt and pet dander in the carpet. However, it does help a great deal. We run our Roomba everyday and still vaccuum once a week and our carpet is the cleanest it has been since we put it in.

very expensive for this model. parts are very cheap. already had pieces rip and break. bin could be bigger, gets full fast. battery already draining faster. filter gets very very dirty even after replacing and cleaning every time i empty bin. filter tray will not shut now.

This roomba is awesome for carpet and hard floors. It's our first roomba and while it isn't the best for deep cleaning, it does a fine job and keeps the pet hair from getting too deep in the carpet.
