Push the button and then stand back. It took me a little while to get my place Roomba friendly. Now it is able to clean and find it's way back to the charger. At first it wasn't able to get through the house before the dirt container filled up because we hadn't used any sweeper for a while. Now it is able to finish before it gets full.

After looking at family members lower models, I decided to go all in with the Roomba 980. Truly Amazing! The intelligence in this machine is mind-blowing. It vacuums back and forth on straight lines and knows where it left off to completely clean a room of ANY size in an efficient manner. It also finishes a job by navigating the outer edges of any room. A "room" can be any level of your home with any number and any shape of smaller rooms. Vacuum day means picking up any loose articles and hitting the clean button! We LOVE this thing. I wish I could give it 6 stars.

Setup was simple and easy. We run our Roomba daily. This model is precisely what i expected from reading all about the comparison with the other models. The 980 is a great investment. We have inside cats and a dog and the daily use is super handy and the dog doesnt mind and the cats run from it but that is no issue at all. Carpet to hardwoods no problem. The App is a good utilization means with this product. I like all of the features with the 980. If your on the fence about which model to choose, the 980 is the best. Works amazingly for our needs.

I wanted a Roomba for very long. Now we finally decided to get one and we went for the top one. This roomba has surprised us. It is amazing how it manages things with almost no supervision. You can schedule it and forget it as long as you have the invisible barriers wherever you need them and clean it periodically. It is damashing a couple furniture items as it hits them hard when finding the routes. Also I find this a bit expensive so may have been good with a lesser expensive model. Finally it would be great if iRobot builds vacuuming/mopping 2 in 1 models.

This is our second vacuum of this type. The Roomba works heads above the other model. Does a super job on dog hair, and is easily cleaned.

This Roomba does a great job of maintaining the floors in our large house, taking a break to charge when it needs one, and has cut down a lot on the time we spend dealing with dust and dog hair in every corner!

This product is really good, use every day. We love it.

Read so many reviews didn’t know what to buy but the roomba 980 looked like it had the most features this thing is awesome especially dog hair we own 2 of these now pricey but they work great one for our house& one for her office in town

I bought a Roomba 980 and a Dyson 360 Eye. The Roomba did a much better job of cleaning the room in less time and without assistance. The Dyson has more powerful suction but does not cover the room very well. The Roomba wins hands down!

I would wait till a holiday if I didn't need it right away but I would only buy the one with the best GPS. The other stuff like the app is ok but the GPS makes all the difference in the world if you really want to get the most out of it.

We set the timer while we are gone. Come home from work and floors are clean. Love it!

The roomba 980 is much stronger than lesser models. It has a powerful suction and can vacuum for a long time before it needs to dock and recharge.

We have had our Roomba for about a month. Easy to set up. Makes keeping floors easy. Only complaint is small bin that needs to be emptied frequently.

Not as spectacular as lots of review say. Gets stuck under furniture, gets full quickly as waste storage is small and doesn't clean very well on hard floors. Does a job, but won't eliminate the need to clean floors yourself

Works well when it docks it self. Goes around many obsticals.

My Roomba is fantastic! It vacuums on carpet, ceramic tile and wood flooring extremly well. We have 3 cats so we need for the Roomba to do a good job getting up a lot of cat hair as well as regular, day-to-day dirt. I love it that it goes back to its docking station to charge itself when it needs to. My house has never been cleaner. It was expensive but worth every penny. The Roomba is amazing and I love it!

This thing rocks. I have a German Shepherd and my carpets are spotless every morning at 9am. Nice lines, great battery, etc. Thanks iRobot

We have hardwood floors throughout the house and cleaning was becoming overwhelming, especially hard to reach places like under the bed. This little machine is great. We still use our Dyson to vacuum the rugs but not as often.

Love my Roomba, love coming home to a clean floor. It took it a while to get our rooms figured out, but now it gets it right every time!
