I use this to clean my downstairs hardwood floors. It works amazing. Run it once a day and it keeps the floors way cleaner than they would be. All I have to do is mop. I have 2 dogs and 2 kids so the floors can get pretty messy. Just make sure that there aren't any big pieces of trash or wrappers on the floor of it will say the Roomba is full when it's not.

My girlfriend really wanted this I-robot so I gave it to her for Christmas. I was skeptic at first thinking there was no way this little contraption would actually work. I was convinced it would leave umvacuumed spots and not do a good overall job vacuuming but I was pleasantly surprised. It thus a great job vacuuming floors and carpets! It's a R2D2 turned vacuum. Highly recommended but a little expensive for $800 dollars and wished it was a little slimmer so it could go under couches.

Wish I had purchase this long ago. Have cats and it does a great job on picking up the pet hair. All I have to do is move a few things off the floor and roomba does the rest. Moves for floor to carpet and back easily. Sometimes I think it does a better the me.

This product is amazing. The only issue I have is how loud it is--but regular vacuums are loud as well, so I guess it makes sense. The battery life is better than expected and it collects a ton of dog hair/dirt before it needs to be emptied. It is also so well made that it's very easy to clean each compartment-we have a 100lb Golden Retriever that sheds a TON and our Roomba has hair wrapped around every turning function, but i was pleasantly surprised at how easy each part was able to detach and i could just pull off the hair (that wasn't already collected in the bin). Love this purchase!!

Yes, I spend about 5 minutes picking up "stuff" before turning Roomba on, but it is just fantastic for traveling all the rooms on the first floor and always picking up a nice handful of dust and dirt. Walking in bare feet doesn't have any surprises after Roomba is done. :-)

You wont believe how much dust and cat hair gets picked up. Cleaning the bin and rollers is extremely easy! I had a 500 series Roomba and it was a real hassle cleaning it! The charging base stopped working after about 2 weeks. I called the Roomba company and they sent a new charging base immedoately.

Doesn't like throw rugs or cords, but otherwise great for maintaining a clean floor. Wish dust bin held more (but unit size would get too big then) Overall just what I expected Provided it has a decent lifespan I will definitely buy again.

It is expensive. It does require adaptation in your home to allow Roomba 980 to succeed. But once you have "roomba-proofed" your home (no hanging cords, etc) you can have success. A bit loud to have running while you are at home. an IFTTT channel would be a huge plus -- it can then run when you leave. Don't know why they have not thought of that. Software on your iphone is pretty rudimentary. They could do SO MUCH more with it. I hold out hope, though.

The Roomba 980 Robot Vacuum has been awesome! We were initially skeptical about it's ability to really get the house clean, but after seeing what it picks up it is amazing. We have dogs and this vacuum has been a lifesaver. Also the schedule and remote app has worked really great. Only downside is it gets stuck sometimes under the couch. Our couch is plenty high enough, but somehow it finds a way to get stuck. Great overall and would definitely recommend.

Seems to do OK job at cleaning but its very glitchy when it comes to connection and getting stuck. The App needs some major revamping to communicate with the Roomba better. It cleans and will go back to charging but then its suppose to finish cleaning what it left off at, while it will do that it will also start cleaning the entire house again till the battery is dead (cleaning for almost 6 hours, while charging 2-3 times) before it goes back to home showing job completed. I think its still years away from being perfected but its nice to know technology is there. I did have to take this back to BB twice for exchanges as the previous did not want to work properly at all. it was running into things non stop sitting in one location for over 10 minutes just bouncing off the same exact wall not moving. The other would not connect to the internet at all and was having a lot of issues.

Runs for up to 2 hours and with smaller height than some other brands can get under couches and beds of which you would never get with a regular vacuum cleaner. We have a large one story house, so my only complaints would be it has a small bin you will have to empty often (we have some new rugs so the bin may not fill as much over time) and we actually might need 2 for the roomba to ever get to the whole house. We tend to just pick it up and move to another area to clean. However, where it cleans is almost as good as upright vacuum.

Keeps my basement carpet and hardwood floors as clean as they have ever been. In a single pass it won’t do as well the Dyson traditional vacuum we usually use, but when set to run on auto 2-3 times a week, it will certainly keep pace.

I love Pippi! She keeps my house clean which is so nice and reassuring. I have two dogs and keeping up with the pet hair can be somewhat challenging. Ever since I purchase the iRobot I no longer have to worry about this issue. She cleans everyday and does a great job even on carpet. I would have to say that she does get stuck from time to time and I noticed that sometimes she does not do a full clean. That's even after checking all the sensors and the collection bin, which were clean and empty. Definitely the 900 series does an amazing job at picking up stuff you never knew was there. I would definitely recommend this 2NE1 with pets or those who just like an extra bit of help around the house. I love coming home to a freshly vacuumed house daily thank you iRobot

We've had the 980 for about a month now. When the vacuum has completely clear pathways, it does a great job. On one of the daily runs, the vacuum pull my MacBook Pro off the end table on to the floor. I was less than happy. Thankfully, no damage. Keep the socks and power cords out of the way and it's a cleaning machine.

Every time I run this I am amazed that I have yet to find the Yeti living in my house. It's the same color of hair as my dog. Great for being lazy, still need a good Dyson to roll over the carpets though every few weeks or so.

I am very happy with my roomba. It does the job of cleaning my tiled floors and carpets very efficiently. I wish Best Buy had the accessories for me to purchase such as battery and filters. I want the original not after market.

I love this bot. Had one when it first came out and wonder what it did when I was gone. Now with 980 I see where it went and tells me if there’s something wrong. Definitely I great way to keep the house clean when I’m gone.

Fell in love with this guy! He sends me a notification if he’s stuck or needs cleaned. Love that I get a map of where he vacuumed that day. If he doesn’t have enough battery to finish he parks himself back on the charger and will continue to head out til he’s done. The suction is better then my Dyson. You cannot use this exclusively, still have to have the conventional vacuum for cleaning places like crevices, behind low furnishings or upholstery cleaning but all in all completely worth it!

I went to Best Buy with my mother to help her purchase a new Roomba vacuum cleaner. We had an associate help us who was very knowledgeable about various vacuum cleaners and answered all of my mother's questions. There was even a floor model to test! The price was great...it happened to be on sale when we visited Best Buy. My mother is very happy with her new vacuum cleaner...she is amazed at how well it works. She has two large dogs who shed and the Roomba is getting up all of the dog hair!

Love my Roomba 980. Cons-price, gets stuck every once in awhile, bin gets full or filter gets clogged. Pros-the app is great, does a great job picking up almost everything. Grabs a lot of cat hair and cat liter. It is not as loud as I thought it would be and my cats are not scared of it. Overall I am very happy with this product. I would recommend especially if they can get it on sale.
