I am very pleased with this product. It is quiet and cleans my floors very well. I have 3 dogs and 5 cats and it handles all of that hair just great. You can choose whether you want your robot to just vaccum, just mop, or do both at the same time. It is well worth the money.

I got the iRobot Roomba Combo i5+ but am sad to report it has not performed well. Starting with the initial setup, the first thing it wants to do is map your entire home, and it instructs you to remove any obstacles, open all doors, etc., all reasonable expectations. I did that and had it begin mapping. The first few times, it ran a small rectangular area and returned to the base within a minute or 2, but then the next time it actually attempted a mapping run. However, the Roomba gets stuck easily, and once it does, you can't just free it and have it continue, it has to start over from scratch. What caused the issue for me is a loveseat where it would wedge itself under the back side of it, but couldn't figure out how to back itself out. I ended up stuffing a blanket under the loveseat and it finished the mapping. So next, I had it attempt a vacuum run, but again it was random, the first time it did the same thing as the first mapping run, it ran for 2 minutes and returned to the base. But then doing the same time, selecting "Vacuum everywhere", it did indeed do the task correctly. Next, I wanted to try the mopping feature, which is a separate bin attachment that you fill with water and it replaces the vacuum bin. However, when you put the mop attachment in, there are 2 selections in the app, both of which say "vacuum everywhere", nothing which says mop. Tried clicking the Vacuum Everywhere and it gave random errors each attempt; sometimes "can't connect", sometimes "bin full", but regardless, it wouldn't even attempt a mopping run. After multiple back and forth emails with Roomba tech support, my 2nd attempt at scanning the QR code on the mop attachment was successful and it then walked me through how to use that attachment. However, the first thing it says is that the machine can't detect the flooring type, so you have to put the base in a room with a hard surface, and then use barricades (see pictures) to block it from getting on carpet. What a pain! It was an extra hassle in the dining room where I have a large area rug, and then the other area of frustration is my 2 bathrooms are surrounded by areas that are carpeted, so unless I want to move the base to those small bathrooms, it's not useful for those. Even with the mop attachment installed and recognized, inside the app, all you see are two icons for "Vacuum Everything"; no mention of mopping at all. In conclusion, the hardware doesn't work well, behaving randomly with each mission, getting stuck without having the ability to back out, and not having the ability to tell what kind of surface it is on. The app is poor, with no ability to resume mapping after it gets stuck, even if you are able to successfully reposition it; and duplicate buttons for vacuum everything with no mention of mopping. The Roomba Combo i5+ doesn't do anything well, is frustrating to use, and I can't recommend this product.

The primly drawback was that it had a small dust and dirt bin that you would have to empty after each use. Now comes along the Robot Roomba Combo i5+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum & Mop, where it self empties itself. You no longer have to empty the dirt/dust bin after each use. The self empty unit has a vacuum bag that can handle many many empty cycles. Plus it comes with an additional bag that can be stored in the vacuum tower. Downloading the Roomba app for your particular model. Makes tracking, mapping and use of the Robot Roomba Combo i5+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum & Mop easy. It even tells you when the vacuum bin is full. It also has a mop feature, which I would consider a very light mop option. If you’ve never had a Riomba before, you definitely need one for your hard floors. And if you have had one, it’s time to upgrade to the Robot Roomba Como i5+ Self Emptying Robot Vacuum & Mop!

I recently purchased the Roomba Combo 105 and I’ve been impressed with how much easier it makes my daily routine. I have vinyl floors that look like wood, and the vacuum + mop feature handles them beautifully. It navigates smartly, avoids obstacles, and fits under furniture without getting stuck. The dustbin is easy to empty, the self-emptying base is a game changer, and setup through the iRobot Home app was simple. The mop doesn’t leave the floors too wet, which I love. One thing I learned is that it works best with just water or the approved iRobot solution — no regular cleaners. It’s quiet, efficient, and surprisingly thorough. I also appreciate the smart scheduling feature and being able to check its status on my phone. So far, it’s worth every penny, and I’d definitely recommend it!

The iRobot does a decent job picking up dust and light dirt, but I expected better performance for the price. It sometimes gets stuck on carpets or furniture and needs to be rescued, which takes away some of the convenience. The battery lasts long enough for a standard cleaning, though it doesn’t always return properly to the charging dock. Overall, it’s a good product, but there’s room for improvement in navigation and suction power.

Great help around the house. Easy to use and mapping feature is amazing. Lessens the task of emptying out after each run and helps you maintain a clean house instantly. You can just set up everything and allow it to map the house and next time… just click to vacuum in the app and you can empty through app as well plus it does it self if it runs through the entire course of cleaning. A must have for a clean house with pets and kids! Named mine Mr Clean!

I got this for my mom during Christmas of las year because she’s the person to always want to keep the house clean and tidy but with her age she is struggling to have the energy to do so, after I got her this she always mentions how well it sweeps and mops her house and cleans carpet too! Great product thank you.

My IRobot has been keeping my floors clean now for a month and we have not had to vacuum once. It cleans then dumps dust and recharges and then continues to clean until job is finished. A wonderful Mothers Day present!

The robot does a great job overall. It still leaves out corners and some dirt under bottom cabinets. It will also clean carpets that are medium tall. Overall cleans 90% of dust. Mopping isnt the best though. I would rather mop using a mop especially on sticky areas

The Roomba i5+ is a fantastic upgrade from my older 900 series. After just a week of use, I’m impressed by how efficiently it vacuums my main floor—usually finishing in about an hour. The ability to target specific rooms adds a ton of convenience, and the automatic base that empties the bin makes maintenance nearly effortless. I did run into a minor issue where the vacuum occasionally docks slightly off-center and can't empty the bin. Cleaning the sensors on both the unit and the base resolved it quickly, so it wasn’t a dealbreaker. If you have pets, I highly recommend this vacuum. It’s been a huge help in controlling fur and reducing hairballs around the house.

Works well. Cleans up good but a bit low on battery charging. At times vaccums the same place twice but no harm in extra cleaning. Love the size as it goes in almost evey place

Best Roomba Iv'e had so far, I have the Roomba 694 since 2019. It did the work, kind of loud, but the iRobot Roomba i5 is just great, less noisy, Does mapping: (Wish I could do the mapping with the phone, not the Roomba running around). Way smarter, It knows when you add the mop, (when you follow the instructions). In the end does the job, You can send I to just the living room and to the base or kitchen and then the base. It's up to you. If you want the Roomba to not mop the carpet, then look for higher end Roombas. Great for the pice

Gets the job done , didn’t get 5 stars only because it’s been difficult for it to get an accurate map of my house. Definitely beats sweeping. Send it out and forget about it- it’ll complete the job and send itself home.

Enjoyed utilizing the vacuum. The setup was easy, the mapping went fine (wish there were better directions for setup), connecting to WiFi was seamless, but the mop is lacking. I cannot find where the mop has replacement pads and it works in gravity. You fill the tank and the mop moves across the floor like a snail leaving a trail of fluid. Not to say that the floor wasn’t clean because it was, but you then have to immediately remove the mop component from the device. You literally get a warning to do this. The mop pad doesn’t look like it can be washed efficiently except to hand wash and I can’t find where you can purchase replacements once it has worn down. Other than that, works amazingly!

Overall I like it, it does go past the boundaries at times and if for some reason when it stops and needs attention to start again it will not follow the current command. It will start vacuuming the entire house.

I wasnt to sure about the product after reading the reviews and considering this is my second 1, due to the fact the 1st one didnt work. I have this product for a couple of weeks now and I truly like the product. I wish you could save more than 1 map at a time as i do have a second floor and have to delete each map. Mopping could be a little better but for the price i brought it at im happy overall.

For a robot vacuum, this one works really well. They all have their limitations, but this kne seems to work as expected. The self-emptying feature is a lot nicer than having to empty it each time.

After reading a lot about robot vacuum cleaners, I decided on this model. The first time I tried using it, it was horrible. But it wasn't the equipment's fault. I'm using this equipment in my fitness studio and it's a large space, I saw that the i5 was lost in space. I resolved this by redividing the space through the iRobot app. Once that was done, wow, the i5 cleaned everything up perfectly. I am very satisfied. Now I plan to buy one for my home.
