Customers are saying
Customers admire the Roomba i6 (6150) for its impressive cleaning performance and ease of use, particularly its smart mapping capabilities. However, some users find the noise level and navigation to be less than ideal, and the dustbin's capacity is frequently cited as too small. The suction power and pet hair removal capabilities are also frequently praised.

Sweeps up pet hair like a champ!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have 3 dogs and 2 cats and the Roomba is keeping up nicely with the pet hair issues. Noise level is tolerable and I'm lovin' the self-emptying feature. Glad we added this little guy to our appliance family.

Vacuuming area more than once
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It does one area several times. It takes about 2hrs to do an area that Neato took 58 minutes. Does not come with a manual and very small print when you print it out. But it beats having to vacuum myself

Nice upgrade
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A nice upgrade to my 690 iRobot. Wish I would've sprung for the disposal as when I go to empty the bin, there is still a lot of dust and crumbs left in the robot part. So I need to take the whole thing over the trash to empty.

Not strong enough
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to understand directions, and to manage. However, this product didn’t fully picked up the floor dust, and when it came down to bigger items it was stock in place.

King of the robots!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent vacuum. The double roller brush mechanism is a game changer. We have four dogs three cats and a ton of animal hair. This machine beats our other two robot vacuums when it comes to carpet cleaning and sucking up pet hair. Has no issues with dark carpets being confused as drop offs. Super value and really worth the money.

No random errors, it works flawlessly
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm really happy with the performance of Roomba i6. This is the third iRobot vacuum I own and it's by far the best one, even above the overrated Roomba S9. The robot is responsive at all times, no weird random errors, it just follows both the scheduled and on-demand jobs. No complains

It does it's job
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As with any roomba, it's not perfect so it shouldn't be a substitute for your regular vacuuming but it's good for those in between days. I set mine for 4am and buy the time I wake up it's done.

Good for Routine Cleanng Open Areas
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let’s start with what’s in the box: There's the i6 Roomba (of course); a docking station; a power cord; a very short quick-start guide titled “Getting Started;” the usual assortment of warranty and safety documents. There is a card labeled “Getting Started” that is supposed to get your Roomba operational. Yeah, no. Before you can do essentially anything, you have to register your vacuum on the website. To register, you need the vacuum’s serial number. “Getting Started” says nothing about where it is – it was definitely NOT on the bottom of the vacuum. After my fruitless thorough search of the bottom I gave up and called Tech Support. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone with Tech Support to: (1) Find out the serial number is located INSIDE the Roomba under the dust bin and (2) Find out how to remove the bin so I could find the serial number (you push the light grey trashcan icon on the side of the vacuum). Once you register, you have to download the necessary app from the app store. Then you get to set up the vacuum and get it accepted by your Wi-Fi network. After doing all this for a couple of hours, I decided to let the machine charge overnight before starting the actual programming of the vacuum. I eventually got the app from the Apple app store and installed it. The Roomba was recognized and joined my home Wi-Fi network without any problems. After charging overnight, I set the Roomba loose to vacuum my house. The first thing I noticed that it was a bit noisy but less noisy that a regular corded vacuum – you can watch TV if you raise the volume a bit. We have a very small amount of carpet and it worked fine there as well – and it was quieter the the conventional vacuums -- I think this was due to the carpet absorbing some of the noise. On its initial run, much of the time was spent gently bumping into walls and furniture as it began mapping out the house – a necessary part of “training” the Roomba. How did it work? Well it worked just fine. We have mostly hard floors (vinyl plank and tile) and it picked up a good bit of debris. It also picked up some oak leaves which we often track into the house. It did not like the pieces of acorns that also came in on our shoes and in the dogs’ paws – they were either too large or too heavy. As we have two dogs who shed, our big concern was getting the dog fur picked up and the Roomba got every bit of dog fur that it encountered. YEA! Dumping the collection bin was easy since I'd already found out how to open it. I was a bit disappointed with the Owner’s Guide (which you have to download to your computer). It just didn’t explain how to do some things or what some things meant. It could use a revision relying on owner feedback. Finally, if you expect a Roomba to get into every nook and cranny, you’re going to be disappointed because it is just too big to fit into some spaces and corners. THE REALITY WHICH APPLIES TO ALL ROBOT VACCUUMS IS THIS: Robot vacuums cannot completely replace a conventional machine (e.g., you can’t vacuum your car, clean the crevices on your sofa, or pick up the crumbs in that drawer where you keep your toaster) but they can do a lot, especially in high-traffic areas. Bottom line: This vacuum is good for general routine cleaning but you’re still going to have to clean the nooks, crannies and corners and the rat’s nest of cables under your computer desk with a conventional vacuum or a broom. My wife either sweeps fur, etc. from the corners and "nooks and crannies" into an open area or uses a stick vacuum for them. Review completed: November 26, 2021
