Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the Roomba i7+'s self-emptying feature as a game-changer, eliminating the need for frequent manual emptying. Pet owners appreciate its effectiveness in cleaning dog hair, while many users praise its ease of use and the convenience of its scheduling feature. However, some users find the vacuum to be quite loud, particularly during the self-emptying process, and a few express concerns about its price and the cost of replacement bags.

Not good with pet hair
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Although I really wanted it to work out, this little robot did not have what it took to clean up after my dog who sheds. It left a trail of wadded up dog hair in its wake as it traveled around the house. What’s the point of a vacuum that you need to clean up after? Especially when it costs $850? Apparently this is a common issue with the Roomba i7, enough so that this syndrome has a name - Roombarf! We tried cleaning it out, pre-vacuuming, etc, all to no avail. The posted pics are after my son had vacuumed the floor before running the Roomba. Anyway, I was happy that Best Buy accommodated the return so well. If you have a Shedding Dog, don’t buy this.

Good but flawed
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's good, but it gets stuck, runs over cords, gets confused, and after a year or so of owning it, it's suddenly not emptying the dust bin. I will have to have it repaired. It can be emptied manually, but I don't want to have to do that. These things are ultimately very nice to have, and fun, but they do not last. You have to keep them very clean, and maintain them well. Parts wear out, and you have to buy new. It's not just a vacuum you can put away and forget about, and since the price is very high, you cannot just go get a new one when it starts to underperform.

Bestest!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A lot quiter than 900 series, I've owned two of them. Convenience of self emptying roomba in tower bin. After mapping house, convenience of naming zone, and zones to not enter and vaccum. I do notice if that when battery is low it has a glitch to self dock properly. Other than that, wait for this to go on sale. Regular price a little too steep for mid incomr family.

Great vacuum -- BB protection plan??
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I personally love the vacuum!! With two labs pups/dogs - couldn't live without it!! Frustrated how the protection plan works!! I did still purchase it for our new vacuum and would highly recommend it to everyone!! Bought our original i7 December 2019. Started having issues with it earlier this year. The iRobot company was very helpful in trying to help me resolve the issue until they discovered it was no longer under their warranty - then they told me to just take it back to Best Buy. Best Buy sent it off to be repaired - sent back nothing done to it. Still wouldn't work. Best Buy gave me a gift card in the amount that I purchased the iRobot for which was $100 less than what a new one costs now!! I had gotten it on sale and it currently is not on sale. I explained to the manager that I simply wanted a replacement and asked if they would price match it and he refused. Very disappointed that I had to end up paying more for a replacement even with the protection plan!!! Felt they should have sold me the new vacuum for the same price as I originally purchased it for since I also had purchased their protection plan with it.

Shoulda invested in a traditional vac instead
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a spontaneous purchase. Ive always been interested in these vacuums so I decided to take the plunge. Honestly, I would rather have spent this amount of money on a traditional vacuum. The technology is cool but I can vacuum my apartment (1300 Sq ft) in about 10 mins...this thing takes like 3 hours! I would say that it gets "stuck" about 75% of the time and it doesn't take much at all for it to get stuck on something. Its constantly banging into stuff and it can be kinda loud and annoying if ur running it while home. I can see how this can benefit some people but for me, I wish I woulda invested my money else where. The self emptying feature is pretty nice though IF you do plan on buying a Rooomba.

An ok but overpriced product.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The product is ok. Not as powerful as advertised. It happened a few times that after cleaning the floor is still dirty. Additionally, the cleaning pattern is a bit messy taking more time than other robot vacuums I had. Overall, it is a study product that does what it should - overpriced though.

i7 great smart vacuum that works.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The only draw back the price. I returned shark for i7+. It was too dark for shark to map, had delete & remap, then lost map. Support said wait 48hrs for update and may have to remap. i7 has had no issues & states map in all lighting. Map is great. You can have up to 10 maps for different floor, shark only 1 and that one don’t work. i7 has mapping only mode that you want to use to map whole house. It can map while vacuuming but uses more battery so has to recharge a few time while. Map only runs don’t vacuum so it save on battery. iRoomba is a much better than shark when using mapping. If you only small area then you might get by with cheaper shark. Returned my shark and not one issue with my i7+. Nice coming home and whole house is vacuumed even under furniture. It’s a 5 star vacuum, I minus one star because of price.

Awesome product for people with pet hair problems
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Roomba is great! Biggest negative, is it doesn’t do that great on carpet (the shorter and tighter the carpet weave the better it will work) but on hard surfaces it’s a life saver! We have 3 cats and 2 dogs, so hair IS a big problem in our house, and this product takes care of it no problem. My biggest concern was: How much can the bag hold, with the amount of pet hair it will have to pick up??? We probably run the roomba 2 times a week and only changed the bag once since we bought it (had it for 4 months now). Does this completely replace have to use a manual vac? No. It’s a robot, so obviously there are some places it’s going to miss... The price was a little scary too, but given how the product performs, I would totally buy it again! NOTE: my parents also have one, and they have a lot of Oriental rugs with the tassel things on the edges- Roomba does not do well with those...

The roomba works exactly as expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We initially had purchased robot vac from a different manufacturer. It was a bit more expensive and had better specs..for example, it had Lidar, more suction, larger beater brush etc. Basically, it didn't work. Would back out of the dock... clean for a while then get confused and need to be manually brought back to the base. Couldn't get a full cleaning run on our 3200 sq ft house over 2 weeks. Worked with etc support, firmware updates etc. We returned it and got the i7+ with the vacuum base. Net/net.. this works flawlessly, right from the first time set up. I was not keen to pay for the additional vacuum base with the bag, but happy we got it. Definitely recommend the product.

A must have!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So I wasn’t sold on these robot vacuums but my wife really wanted one. I decided if I was going to get one it had to be the self dumping one. So it was between the i7 and the shark iQ. After looking at reviews on YouTube and the internet I decided to go with the i7. I got it on sale for $699, I still wasn’t thrilled with the price tag! I’ve had it for almost a month and I absolutely love it! It really works and the wife is very happy with it as well. Do not try and save money with these, you get what you pay for that is especially true with these little guys. I have 1800 square feet and it mapped it in just 3 cycles!

Top Robot Vac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Navigation is perfect. Having base station auto clean out robot is a godsend and make it truly automatic. Had Neato D7 and had to return it. D7 navigation is horrible. D7 kept getting stuck. Once D7 is manually moved, it will not go back to the base station, No problems with i7. Even when you move it, it still easily finds its way back home. Pricey, but has best features out there.

The I robot is expensive but absolutely fabulous
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The I robot is expensive but absolutely fabulous. I had looked at the rumba’s for quite some time. I go to Best Buy very frequently. I was always interested but the new version, the 21 day return option and two absolutely fabulous sales girls convinced me. The robot is amazing! It cleans fabulously, trains and maps itself to maneuver our house! The price is steep but the finance plan made it easier and possible.

Nice product
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have a iRobot/roomba prior to this one. This is a great improvement. The automatic empty feature is wonderful . This model cleans considerably better than the older model. And the mapping feature is really nice. Might get another one for our second floor. Pricey is the only down part.

Saves me time
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was hesitant to spend this type of money on a robot vacuum but would say its worth it as I no longer need to spend as much time cleaning. The best part is the self emptying of this one.

Very useful robot!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this when it was on sale, and really I would only buy it when it is. As we know, it's pricey. The robot has really helped my wife and I address much more vacuuming in specific areas that we normally wouldn't have time to clean during the week. It's convenient and the technology far surpasses that of more affordable models. I personally find the app and the self-cleaning bin to be useful. After all, the point of owning one of these is to be as least interactive with it as possible when cleaning it out, right? However, this isn't "perfect" as you may still need to go back and vacuum some areas with a hand vacuum if it misses any spots (like corners), but it rarely happens.

Too much money but pretty cool
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this for my mom so she wouldn't have to bend down to empty the vacuum each time it was full. Seems to work. Ridiculous price. Not sure what people are being paid these days.

Good vacuum
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had the vacuum for about two months now and it has been helpful with keeping up around the kids and the dog. I am really glad that I spent the extra money and purchased the vacuum with the automatic dirt dispenser. The only downfall that I have had so far is when I run the vacuum at night. It seems to have a lot of trouble getting around when the lights are off and tends to loose the base station. Every now and then I’ll find it out of battery and lost in the open kitchen near the base station because it could not find its way home. The other issue that I have been having is that it does not recognize objects in its way so it will get suck on kid toys and other objects. I thought with having the camera and sensors that it would be able to go around them. It is very easy to take apart and remove the object that is stuck but it is starting to get old. It also misses certain zones when cleaning. For example; at night, I have programmed the vacuum to clean the kitchen, dining room, living room and entrance. In the morning I will get a notification that the job is complete but when I look at the map of where it cleaned in will have missed an entire room. Other then that the vacuum works ok and I feel that it is expensive for what it actually does. Overall, I’m not thrilled with it but I’m also not disappointed. It does help keep the house clean.

No more slogging the big vacuum around every week!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wifi is easy to use and convenient. Robot is quiet and does a good job. Still need to vacuum the corners every now and then and will be going over the whole house once every few months with the Dyson, since suction for this little guy is very good, but not on the same level as the big guy. Love the emptying station. A bit pricey, but worth it thus far.

It’s nice
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The vacuum quality is excellent. My house is so clean after a full job. My only complaint is how often it had connection issues. We have it housed in the same room as our 1 gig router and it still acts up often. Once it gets going though, this thing is a beast. Price is rough though.
