Customers are saying
Customers often highlight the Roomba i7+'s self-emptying feature as a game-changer, eliminating the need for frequent manual emptying. Pet owners appreciate its effectiveness in cleaning dog hair, while many users praise its ease of use and the convenience of its scheduling feature. However, some users find the vacuum to be quite loud, particularly during the self-emptying process, and a few express concerns about its price and the cost of replacement bags.

Not for carpet..
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolute trash if you have pets and carpet floors. The rubberized rollers are designed to be tangle free, but they still accumulate pet hair like traditional bristle rollers, however, they don’t pick up hair at all other than to wrap around itself. All these rollers do is clump up the hair and crap it out the back of the robot. See photos of all the lovely black fur. I’ve owned off brand robots that have done great, but eventually died after years. So I stepped up and spent more on iRobot and essentially threw away $700. This vacuum is great for piling up fur so I can come behind it with a real vacuum. I’d be happy if they offered normal bridge rollers, but all that’s available for this model are the rubber ones. I am assuming the rollers are the problem, it may be the suction as well. This this is super quiet which makes me think it’s not sucking that much. If you have carpet and things that produce a lot of hair (pets/wives) don’t get this vacuum. Hard floors, you may have better results since you don’t need to agitate carpet to free embedded hairs.

Keeps stopping and poor pick up
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First use was normal. But since that it’s stops about every second swipe of my brand new carpet. I have to turn it over and clean debri cleaning or free the brushes. Does not pick up much of anything. I just had back surgery and got this so I would not have to bend over or strain my back. I just had to buy a regular vacuum. Don’t buy this.

Very intelligent robot cleaner
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Mapping is almost perfect for finding cleaning areas, room by room. Very easy to use or program. Suction power is a little weaker than I expected. Besides that everything is great.

Old one was better!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn't sound like it has much/if any suction and does not increase when on carpet. It has emptied twice and doesn't feel like anything in the bag. VERY finicky about how much room around the base. Won't dock unless there is 4 feet of CLEAR space straight out from base. Incredibly noisy regarding rollers and turning. Not a fan. Probably going to return. Will try it a few more times.

Like it
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this model because my s9 had a problem with the drive wheels and Best Buy refunded me for it. I think this model is even better. Besides the fact that it doesn't have a drive problem, it maps better, cleans better, and is not as loud. I wish it had a biy more suction for high pile, but hey, not bad at all.

iRobot
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far good, given 3 stars because just haven’t used it that much to have complete opinion. I was hoping to see more suction on the tile floor.Seems missing a lot. I will have better idea when I have more experience with it.

I’d pass
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Defective right out of the box. Manufacturer replaced part but I don’t think it works as well as the refurbished i3 it replaced. Suction seems subpar.

The roomba works exactly as expected
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We initially had purchased robot vac from a different manufacturer. It was a bit more expensive and had better specs..for example, it had Lidar, more suction, larger beater brush etc. Basically, it didn't work. Would back out of the dock... clean for a while then get confused and need to be manually brought back to the base. Couldn't get a full cleaning run on our 3200 sq ft house over 2 weeks. Worked with etc support, firmware updates etc. We returned it and got the i7+ with the vacuum base. Net/net.. this works flawlessly, right from the first time set up. I was not keen to pay for the additional vacuum base with the bag, but happy we got it. Definitely recommend the product.

Much Better than the i9+ plus!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Absolutely love this machine. I bought the i9+ first (albeit from a different store) because it could also get corners better "supposedly" hahaha not very well... So I decided to downgrade to i7+, This machine is so much better, it gets corners better and it seems to vacuum more than it's successor. You would think with 40% more suction it would do better, nope the i7 did better. I'm so glad we've switched and got this one at Best Buy, it is so worth it!

Good but not Great!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The vaccum maps great and creates an outstanding map. The cliff sensor works great on my stairs and creates beautiful lines, making the carpet look fresh. However, the vacuum only has one suction setting which is really low. I watched it run over a small hair rubber band several times without picking it up. I have an i9+ downstairs and bought the cheaper i7+ just for upstairs. Advise... if you are going to spend $800 on the i7+ you should get the advanced i9+ that has increased suction when it runs on carpet. Taking it back tomorrow for another i9+. The i7+ may be great on hardwood though.

Less suction than Samsung but much more refined
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We primarily got a robot vacuum to pick up animal hair and some stray kitty litter on hardwood floors. The Samsung has more suction but on hard surfaces that doesnt matter, it just makes it louder. The roomba has a significantly better control app (schedule/manually clean by room) and the collection base has worked flawlessly so far. Only complaint is the collection bags in the base are not reusable but nothing some scissors and tape won’t fix. Hopefully somebody releases one with a zipper in it. Had two Samsung robot vacs, thankfully got an extended warranty. Should have gone with roomba the first time.

Prefer cordless vacuums over robot
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not for me. It didn’t suck as much as I hoped. Hah. But really it didn’t perform well. It had a hard time doing an entire room without getting confused on furniture. I ended up returning it.

Buyer beware
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It worked awesome for 6 months. Now vacuumed suction doesn’t work. Does not run as scheduled. We have rebooted over and over. I could have bought awesome vacuum cleaner for the cost of this junk

Vacuum is so…..! It’s frustrating!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had high hopes for this brand and model but so far it is not worth the price! It’s so load compared to our other model and brand. When it dumps into the bin it sounds like a jet engine taking off. It rams into everything and because of this it gets stuck on everything. Under the fridge door, under cabinets, on thresholds, under the coach, under dressers, etc. Next is the mapping feature which again we had on the other model and brand. Previous one was an easy set up and was done in an hour; we have a 960 square foot single story house. This one 2 days! It should never take a vacuum 2 days to program and map. Once we got the mapping done it was finally ready to use. Yea, nope I finally reached my final straw. It doesn’t have any suction for one. So if you have pets, toddlers, and or both you’re out of luck. It leaves piles of hair all over, it leaves behind crumbs, dirt, and everything in between. Secondly, I did my research and it says it’s good for medium pile carpet. You guessed it! It’s better for those with absolutely no carpet. Finally, this vacuum doesn’t work in the dark. So if your home has a dark hallway, rooms, or you like to run it at night when everyone is asleep. Forget it because it won’t happen. It will literally stop working and tell you to come get it. So it will definitely be going back to the store and we won’t be getting another iRobort.

Good vacuum but okay suction
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this vacuum for a little over a month now and it does do a decent job of cleaning. I recently had got rid of a roomba 980 and the suction sounded like it was actually a vacuuming. The i7+ doesn’t even sound like it’s suctioning at all. I know iRobot was obviously trying to make a quieter vacuum but I’m not so sure I’m convinced it’s doing a better job than my old vacuum. After doing some research, it doesn’t look like the i7+ has carpet boost which the 980 has, so maybe that’s why it’s louder? Anyways, it does do a decent job because it’s picking up most things I throw at it. Plus it’s a huge bonus to has the automatic dirt dispenser. Overall if you have the money to drop, I would get this machine

very useful
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i owned the 980 prior to the i7. the 980 had more suction power, but the i7 has some great features like disposing the dirt, and mapping rooms. I wish you were able to create no vacuum areas through the app.
