I truly bought this for aesthetic reasons. Wow what a great purchase! I love the size, color/finish, absolutely everything about it. I don’t use the batteries I had my own plug ac plug-in that I was able to use which was awesome. I was hoping this would be fun to use for my grandkids however it seems it will take a few teaching sessions for my 4year old grandson as he wants to open the lid like a typical trash can. In a nutshell I’ll never use another trash receptacle again. I have fallen in love with this beautiful piece of furniture.

Only bad thing is (Im pretty sure) the inside isn't made out of stainless steel since theres already quite a lot if rust inside.

Don’t get the recommended D batteries that best buy puts with them. However, you should really skip the battires and just buy the power cable for it.

It blends well with the kitchen counter and it also controls odor. The only issue I have with this product is the durability of the lid. But otherwise, I am satisfied with the product

Recommend purchasing the ac adapter online if a plug is handy. On initial power up, it acted confused, but just fiddle with the open close buttons till it gets itself sorted out.
