This is a no brainer. One of the all-time if not the best Christmas movies. Looks incredible in 4K! Better than it’s ever looked.

I actually bought two copies, one each for my brothers. I already owned this exact copy. The only version I care about is the black-and-white version which is been transferred excellently. The color version doesn’t interest me at all but it is included in this disk. I also like the fact that there’s a digital version so if I’m at someone else’s house I can sign into my account and watch it. I feel that this double disks set is a great value. If you love Christmas movies this is definitely one you should have in your library.

This particular package is a 2-disc version: disc 1 is the original back & white version, with special features, and disc 2 is the colorized version. I purchased this specifically for the colorized version, as I love the vivid colors while also maintaining the "classic" feel. While this package does not include a digital copy, it is eligible for disc to digital, making it a great overall deal.

This is the best Christmas movie that is a must watch every Year. What Great job making this movie have a Beautiful Crystal clear pic.

This is possibly one of the greatest movies ever filmed. I have seen it multiple times and still watch it during the holidays.

This one is not as good as I thought, it would-be, I expected more out of a video color tranfer. The sound seem to be the same.

Such a classic! A very heartwarming film for the holiday seasons

A picture perfect black and white classic now on 4K finally

This is one of Frank Capra's best films! This is also the first film that Jimmy Stewart was in after his service in the Army Air Corps during WW2. There story of a man( George Bailey) who has a few setbacks in his life while he sees the other people in his life have what seems like better fortune. He comes to the point where he believes that he would be better off dead. In an attempt to commit suicide he meets his guardian angel Clarence( Henry Travers) who gives George the opportunity to see what life would have been like if he hadn't been born at all. George finds out that his life was much better than he thought. The people whose lives he touched had much better lives with him than without him. His own brother who became a pilot in WW2 saved the lives of many others, and would not have were it not for George saving him from drowning as a child. The idea that we touch so many other lives is a strong positive message for us all. The film is supported by a strong cast including Donna Reed, Lionel Barrymore, Thomas Mitchell, Henry travers, Beulah Bondi, Ward Bond, Gloria Graham. It's worth while to watch this film even when it's not the holidays.A Must See!

This movie is an absolute classic and it looks beautiful on 4K. But it's not such a wonderful life since Best Buy has decided to take all the physical media out of their stores for no actual real reason. My Best Buy store has so much empty space that they have just large boxes sitting around everywhere full of TVs. There's nobody at home office that obviously cares about the customer since I know for a fact that thousands of people have written in begging this company to keep physical media. At Christmas time their physical media area completely sold out at my store. I have pictures showing how empty it was. Best Buy was amazing at one time, this store built its entire franchise on media. It started out as a record store and became a video store and took the country by storm. I understand times change and things change, but in this day and age there's no reason that we can't have all choices made available to us as customers. Physical media is actually up in sales this year because people are becoming tired of the nightmares of streaming and digital. People are upset about losing movies and other people controlling content that they can watch. thanks a lot Best Buy for obviously running a good thing into the ground, not listening to your customers and basically having no idea what we want. Now you are glorified Sears outlet, obviously headed to the scrap heap.

Skip the 4K/UHD edition of "It's a Wonderful Life". You'll be really frustrated with your player and panel, thinking something's wrong with your equipment, when that is not the case. It's the disc and transfer that's problematic to some, yet not to others. In a full restoration of "It's a Wonderful Life", the best chances of seeing a much improved picture from the older disc of 10 years back is to buy the latest BLU-RAY, believe it or not. Although most 4K/UHD packaging include a BLU-RAY, this one does not. Yes, it comes with a BLU-RAY, but its the colorized version. Paramount has split it all up and sells the black and white version of "It's a Wonderful Life" either as a separate 4K/UHD disc or as a separate BLU-RAY. Now, be careful, if it's the newer BLU-RAY that you are seeking and be certain that you are reading on the front and back that you have the 2019 version and not the 2010. Your best clue is to read the back of the packaging and look for the Bonus Materials that include the topic about its restoration from the past year. That's the current and correct BLU-RAY, as the decade old version has similar art work for its cover. Again, save yourself the wear and tear of spending your money twice. Unless you are into experimenting, skip the 4K/UHD version and buy the black and white BLU-RAY, which is packaged separately.

Classic film brought back to life in stunning 4K! Just take a second to pop this into your blu ray player and appreciate the colors and sound quality of this timeless classic. It really brings you back and the upgrades to this film are superb. I would absolutely recommend.

This is a great Holiday classic, it never gets old and its timeless movie at its best, great family film.

What can I say, it's the classic! This set does come with a digital copy and both the incredible black and white original and the crappy colorized version. Use the colorized disc for a coaster, or give it to someone you don't like for Christmas.

Good Blue Ray disks of a great classic movie. It’s fun to compare the colorized version with the restored color version. We still prefer the black and white, although colorization has improved over time.

If a movie ever represents Christmas, this one is it... While it was not a popular movie when released, it has been a staple on television during Christmas for many years when the copyright was somehow not renewed, allowing it's free broadcast over the years. George Bailey is a banker whose life is threatened when his uncle loses the deposits of the bank which would force the foreclosure of many home mortgages. A novice angel is assigned to help George out in his time of crisis.

What a beautifully restored movie in 4K + Dolby Vision ("HDR")! The 4K disc contains the truly awesome b/w version of the movie in its original aspect ratio (letterbox) along with some supplementals and in 12 different languages and subtitles, whereas the 1080p version contains the colorized version, but only in 3 languages and subtitles. I prefer the original, black & white version, and the 4K restoration is worth the money! High-quality sound as well, but, of course, in Mono.

While I love all the fun and newer Christmas movies, It's a Wonderful Life will always be a favorite for me. It's a great plot that is beautifully done. I love the era and the moral of the story. If you haven't taken the time to sit down and watch the entire thing and have only seen bits and pieces because it has always airs on TV, take the time to watch it, you will love it. All of the discs are great and we can always depend on Best Buy to deliver all of the best DVD options on the movies we love.
