While I love all the fun and newer Christmas movies, It's a Wonderful Life will always be a favorite for me. It's a great plot that is beautifully done. I love the era and the moral of the story. If you haven't taken the time to sit down and watch the entire thing and have only seen bits and pieces because it has always airs on TV, take the time to watch it, you will love it. All of the discs are great and we can always depend on Best Buy to deliver all of the best DVD options on the movies we love.

For a very old film it looks great in 4k! Hdr is included but not sure what it offers for a black and white film.

....NOT MUCH TO SAY ABOUT AN ICON OF A CLASIC MOVIE REDONE IN 4K AND KEPT BLACK AND WHITE, OUTSTANDING MOVIE.

This movie has been a staple in our family for years and its so wonderful to be able to see it restored in 4K!

My family watches It's a Wonderful Life every Christmas Eve. We've always watched it on Network TV, but this year I decided to buy the Bluray. It came with the original black and white on one disk and on a second disk, a colorized version. I have traditionally shunned colorized movies, but I decided in this case to give it a try. It looked terrific. It's been a long time before I have watched a colorized film, so maybe they have now perfected the process.

I have watched this movie faithfully every year at Christmastime and love it every time. Until now, I watched it on my old VHS player. This Bluray gives such stunning clarity, I discovered many small details that I've never noticed before (such as the individual coconut shavings young George spoons on Mary's sundae at the beginning, or the sheer clarity of each actor's/actresses's facial expressions). Plus, having the caption text turned on, I discovered many lines that I hadn't known they were saying. Plus, the audio quality is better than VHS, it's got a lot less distortion. The screen size is the same small size as you find on VHS (i.e., black spaces on left and right if watching it on an HD TV), but the clarity and captions and audio quality make this version (even in original black and white) so much better than before! A keeper!

Bought this movie for my dad. Now that it is in Blu-ray, the picture quality is fantastic

I adore this movie. I have loved it since I was a kid watching is dozens of times each Christmas season, and now to see it in perfect 4K HDR is simply stunning. If you think a movie can’t look better in 4K this is the movie to prove it to you. The clarity and range of shadows makes things you never saw pop. It’s literally like seeing the movie for the first tie no matter how many times you’ve seen it in the past.

A very well made film with James Stewart, I always make this one of my must-see films for the holidays every year, my whole family enjoys this movie as well. The whole story brings about the point of life in such a complex world that we live in. I am used to seeing this in the B&W version, but this BD edition comes with a colorized disc version too, which "livens" up the viewing pleasure of this great film.

A simply amazing transfer of an all time classic. The movie has never looked better.

the 4k is perfect. also loved the extras showing how the 4k was accomplished.

Looks great on 4K. There is grain present, but that is to be expected for an older film. The soundtrack is in Mono. Purists will appreciate this... This is a heart-warming and wholesome, classic piece of cinema.

I love this item I remember watching it on tv as a kid and now i can watch it as much as i want. ( preferably Christmas) i have nothing i dislike about it.

This is one of the classic Frank Capra titles that needs a much better restoration from new 4k scans of the original surviving elements like Sony did with their Capra titles. It could also do with a lossless audio track on the Blu-ray, and hopefully, UHD Blu-ray if that comes out. Lossy audio in the 21st Century is really, really old fashioned. That said, this version is decent enough when on discount during the holidays. The colorized version, however, should be burned. What a disgrace to the lovely film noir like cinematography. Thankfully, you can also see it in the original black and white.

The film is wonderful and a classic. Unfortunately, it came damaged. Without even opening it, I could hear a rattle of a small broken part in the package. BestBuy could not ship a new one in time to arrive before the holiday, so I had to go to the store and have them open it so I wouldn't be blamed for the damage if I needed to return it. What was broken turned out to be a small part of the case, not the disk. So although it was imperfect, I kept it, in order to have it in time for the holiday. Fixed it with duct tape. I do wish BBuy would use better protection in their packaging, but at least it is paper not plastic so perhaps better for the environment. Perhaps BBuy can consider making the packaging for shipping sturdier. Thank you.

Film looks amazing on 4K.... highly recommend for the entire family!

I haven’t been able to find this movie anywhere. I was so excited to see that Beat Buy carried it! It was the perfect Christmas gift for my brother!

This is a great Classic film that always brings a smile to the family as we watch it. It's a good one to watch to get your head out all the crap going on these days and bringing to the forefront that which most meaningful in our lives. Never looked better than it does in 4K. A must have for anyone who appreciates the finer films from the Golden Age of Film
