After a bad experience using a Chromecast device with a Smart TV, the j5create ScreenCast Wireless Display Adapter was a pleasant surprise. I plugged it in, switched to the correct HDMI port on the TV, and then an instruction screen displayed. Connecting to the wireless display using Windows 11 was straightforward. It then becomes a second display under Windows. I highly recommend this as a screencasting adapter.

This was easy to setup but when trying to display a movie it couldn’t handle it. Of you want to display pictures it works great.

I've bought a couple of these for my office to put in different TVs and it works good and I do not get any lags or frozen screen. It's nice that you can jus plug in the USB to the back of the TV

Works well for short term use. there is a lag when casting from my MacBook, and it disconnects on its own, which is annoying. also, when connected to my iPad, the picture is too small.

I wanted to be able to watch tv shows that are playing on my phone on my tv that’s not a smart tv. However, many streaming apps block being casted from the phone onto the tv. So this device would not do what I wanted. I ended up getting a roku, which works perfectly for that. If you’re just wanting to show your phone screen on your tv for other things, this would work fine. It’s easy to use.

Works well. Tested with Android, Windows, and Mac. Wasn't always obvious for Airplay but works. Connect J5 to your Wifi for updates, and J5 provides its own WIFI for Mac users to AirPlay, and pass through to your Wifi!

This has allowed me to wirelessly display both video and audio from my laptop to any TV. This has helped greatly since I present in many different locations and cannot always set up close enough to the display.

We are unable to get internet, or good internet, for our home and old-fashioned antenna isn't a good option either. So to watch any television we use this ScreenCast plug in and we can watch whatever we want from our phones. It's easy to connect to the TV and even easier to connect our phones. We definitely recommend this product.

I am looking for a replacement for the discontinued Microsoft display adapter and this just didn’t meet expectations. This product may be great for home use but not in an enterprise environment. I only need mirrorcast capability for displaying Dell laptops, this device offers more features (Airplay) which requires network connection and frowned upon on the enterprise environment.

Purchased this so I could share my computer screen to my TV without using an HDMI port. My old TV had several more than the new one so HDMI ports were not an issue. However, after the purchase I found that I could wirelessly connect my computer to this new TV and didn't need the J5. Ended up returning as it really wasn't needed. Also didn't want to use an extra HDMI port for power or another adapter for power.

      Hello,
Thank you for sharing your feedback on the screencast adapter. Some newer televisions come equipped with the ability to wirelessly receive video. This device is for those that are not manufactured with this capability.

It works, but when comparing it to the quality ti the microsoft display adapter it its not the greatest especially if you dont have at least a windows 10 software which i know is rare now of day. If Microsoft display adapter wasnt sold out i would oglf bought that instead. Actually I think i may return it and wait to get the Microsoft 4k wireless display adapter. Patience is key.
