I was extremely surprised how effortless this was and the quality is second to none. Not only can you share the screen from your device to the TV, the sound playing on your device is also transmitted. Got this for my conference meetings with clients. Yes, you can connect to the internet and browse while also using the WIFI to broadcast to the TV. The device is powered by the USB of the TV. No need for a separate plug in adapter. I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase being exactly what I needed.

The wireless network is only needed for the initial setup of the ScreenCast. After the initial setup you can connect directly between the ScreenCast and your smart device. Wasn't even close to the right cord I needed. So I never used the product. Might want to train your people better best buy.
