The USB ethernet adapter worked as expected once I replaced the PC's CD/DVD drive so that the adapter software could be read and installed. Bought her a new PC running Windows 10 two years ago but she won't use it.

Wi-Fi may be convenient, but is still no match to cable connection. The MBps speech in Wi-Fi, so for as I had checked with BBuy speed test, is far no match to cable connect. Security is also saver with ethernet cable. To me, if the place allow me to have a choice from cable or Wi-Fi, I will always use cable. I always carry this Ethernet Adapter with me.(and a five feet Ethernet cable). Even at home, I prefer Ethernet connection with my sammy 9.7 tablet over Wi-Fi from the router. Definition in movie is no match; it is a much have accessory especially with a tablet having such high picture definition. The same goes with sound quality; you really can tell the stereo separation and the difference from a violin and a viola with Ethernet connect is far more distinct from Wi-Fi.

I've had this adapter for about 4 months and it has worked flawlessly since picking it up. Would recommend!

I find it helpful when downloading software to ensure that the downloaded is not interrupted. I would recommend this is buying a Surface to complete downloads. I did not rate this higher because it does the job but lets face it, a LAN connector is not the most exciting piece of equipment.
