My laptop's Ethernet adapter was broken because the ethernet cable was yanked when the cable was plugged in. I needed to be connected by cable because the wireless router was outside the range for fast connection. The house was wired for ethernet so I wanted to use the hard wire connection. This adapter worked nicely. I had two laptops with Win 8 and Win 7 Os. Win 8 installed without a glitch, but the Win 7 required installation (did not even have an ethernet port or a CD player) but a download worked quickly. I went and bought the same product for the other laptop.

I love it! Plugged it in and my computer did the rest. Was off and running in about 3-5 minutes. I've had it for a few months now and no problems.

It worked great with my Surface pro 4. I plugged it in and installed easily. Now I can hook directly to the router for faster Internet.

Got this to connect to ethernet since my ethernet port stopped working on my desktop. Plugged ethernet into this adapter, then plugged the adapter into the usb on my desktop and got internet connection. Did not see a decrease in speed from when the connection was directly to the ethernet port. Very happy!

If you have no spot for a hardwire internet this is your solution. Works great.

WIRED ETHERNET FOR LAPTOPS My laptop is literally across the room from my modem, but I am not getting good video quality when using zoom, etc. I want to try an ethernet cable connection, but oops, no ethernet port on my laptop. So, j5creat offers a USB 3.0 adapter. PROBLEM SOLVED.

Got because I thought my laptop’s Ethernet port was bad. I ended up using it on another computer that didn’t have an Ethernet port and worked really well. Didn’t have to setup any drivers, just showed up as new network card on my PC.

I didn't know if this product would do what I neededit to do, which is to communicate with my CNC and it works flawlessly as the Best Buy associate said it would I recommend this product.

Very good if your WiFi is terrible like me or if your computer has no WiFi or lan port. Remember to plug into a usb 3.0 or above port for the fastest speeds. Just switch around the ports until you find it and test with a speed test site.

Works as it should. Doesn't require drivers for Windows 8 or 10. Nice for adding a wired NIC port to ultrabooks or Windows-based tablets with a USB port. You do need to have a USB 3.0 port to get full 1Gbps speeds. Will work with USB 1.1/2.0 ports, but you will be limited to about 480Mbps for USB 2.0 and 12Mbps for USB 1.1 FYI. Nice metal construction makes it durable. It also works with Mac computer as well.
