It worked right away.. no drivers, no nothing. Speed is commensurate with regular NIC card.

For Mac, there's a lot of steps in the paper instructions along with additional steps from the driver download that seem to contradict some of the ones found in the paper instructions.

However it was not needed. This product was recognized by my computer and worked right out of the box. I also have their adapter with extra USB ports that works without install.

Give it an Ethernet cable and you'll be able to instantly start using your network connection!

Everything connects properly -- without the need for additional software. The adapter runs just fine; and it gets warm -- but not outrageously hot, like some competitor models. The item looks and feels like a sturdy build. A bit pricey -- but, overall, I'm satisfied.

Some New Laptops Need Extra Equipment

On me new laptop there is no where to connect a cat 5 cable so I bought the J5 Create - Usb 3.0-to-gigabit Ethernet Adapter and solved my problem. With slow internet service being hard wired is the best solution.

My son is a gamer which makes my wifi connection suffer. Installation was simple and fixed my problem instantly. Very quick speed. The aluminum design is also nice and lightweight.
