Since I frequently have to have a wired connection, I looked for something that would allow me to connect utilizing a USB port. This device was easy to install and worked well. It also works well with my Samsung Chromebook.

Did not want to give up my PCI slot to install another (limitation of multi-sli motherboards). Wanted hard wired rather than a usb wifi receiver. Works great with one exception. USB 3.0 drivers don't always load upon restart = no internet. Will be nice when Microsoft makes 3.0 recognizable in the Windows environment. Works with 2.0 just fine but I want to maximize its capability.

It's compact so taking it with you is simple and requires no space that you would notice. I've used it once and it worked very well. I keep it in my travel case for my Asus T100.
