Thankful but useless after one use

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Only giving it a 4 out of 5 stars because I bought it to connect via ethernet cable. My laptop had a driver go out that allowed it to connect to the internet but needed the internet to update the driver. Unfortunately, I did not notice my laptop did not have an ethernet cable port. This device saved me and allowed me to update my driver and I did keep in in case something else happened like this again. So the moral of the story is to make sure you have an ethernet cable port on your laptop before buying.

Great mini docking station

And to my surprise, it had a slot for an external monitor hookup because It turns out my new laptop did not! I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a docking station. It gives you extra USB slots as well.

Also allows you to use flash drives if you are working on files you want to transport from one device to another.

My laptop, like many laptops now, does not have enough USB ports so this accessory does the job. It also makes it easy to connect and disconnect with just one plug.

Great for dual monitors

I was greeted by a young lady who seemed quite knowledgeable, not only about linking the monitors, but about the best equipment to use. After listening to my needs, she walked me over to the location of the equipment that I needed and explained the differences between the various options. She also explained how I should use the products (how to set up the connections). When I arrived home, it took me only minutes to hook all my equipment up and everything works perfectly.

It gave me an Ethernet port, HDMI and VGA as well as 2 more USB ports for my MacBook. Downloaded the drivers and was up and running in minutes. Stream with Surface Pro

It also has 2 usb ports. I plugged this into the type-c port on my surface pro 7 & now I'm able to do everything. I ethernet for better upload speed when streaming. Use the usb port for my blue yeti mic for audio & hdmi to extend my display to a larger monitor.

Gets hot but has not created any issues. Only thinking that I might have bought one with more slots. But have not had any issues

There was no issues for me as I am using PC for most of my work. I wish there were USB-C ports instead of the old VGA port which is useless for me. I normally use HDMI, USB-C and USB 3.0 ports for connecting the peripherals. My recommendation of this product depends entirely on the customer. If he/she is using ports similar to mine, then I will not recommend this product
