This adapter is a great way to add a lot of functionality without taking up a lot of space in your work area. This mini docking station will let you add more USB devices, Ethernet, and an additional display. I am happy to hear that you are enjoying the mini docking station.

Great docking station

Currently has keyboard, mouse, and both screens (1-vga, 1-hdmi cord) plugged to this dock. Only real downside is the VGA doesn’t stay plugged in when jostled (due to the dock not having the screw holes).

Has VGA- good for college

Ethernet: since everyone uses wifi at college, the ethernet is faster and more reliable. VGA: colleges always use outdated projectors in classrooms. Unfortunately, does not have a USB-C connection to laptop, only standard USB connector and no USB to USB-C dongle.

simple to hook up to Microsoft Surface

The HDMI output work seamlessly and the additional ports were perfect. If you don't use too many devices you do not need to use the 5 volt adapter and plug this device in in order to use it. A great alternative to the Microsoft Surface dock at triple the price

Not only will you get the extra USB-A ports you will get HDMI, VGA, and Ethernet ports as well. Glad to hear that you got the dock set up easily. It is not quite plug and play as it does require a driver, but some operating systems will automatically download the driver.

Good addition if needed

I was worried it would slow down response times from the mouse/keyboard, but I haven't noticed any change in speed.

The first one burn out after about a year and a half. It works very well to have multiple monitor just wish it would have two hdmi ports. There isn’t much drop off in resolution between the monitor connected to the hdmi and vga. Overall it’s a good buy for the price.

For 2 HDMI ports, we recommend the JUA365; in the case where you have USB-C, then the JCD381 would be the better option. VERY useful minidock - but video must be powered

Without using the optional USB power input it could drive my large screen monitor, but it wasn't very happy about it. :-) I replaced it with an actual Surface Dock on my desk. Still in my EDC kit for all the other helpful ports!

Does what it's supposed to do.

It does what it's supposed to do. It lacks features of other similarly priced docking stations, like audio jack and SD card reader. Getting it on sale helps. I like that it worked without downloading software or a driver.

Great solution

I needed to add two monitors, wired lan and more usb. This allowed for it. Recognized the devices right away. Be warned it gets very warm.

I had several missteps as I tried to create a 2nd screen setting in my home office connected to my Surface Pro. I bought in my Surface Pro to Best Buy and the salesperson was able to solve with this mini docking station. Finally up and running!
