So far there have been no problems.

I have also used this connector to connect a portable hard drive to my computer.

A lot of computers are going to exclusively USB-C ports. Many people still use USB-A peripherals. Until manufacturers all get on the same page, adapters like these will be necessary.

Sometimes Apple charging cords or adapters seem to be a little flimsy and fray after a while. This adapter seems to be more durable and hopefully lasts longer than the other brands.
