This was hub works great for my MacBook Pro. You do need to download drivers. It did make a weird ticking noise at first, but I think it was an under powered power supply. Plug a diff one in, and works with zero issues or noise.

Best hub I’ve purchased thus far. Easy set up, fast speed, and all the ports needed to work three monitors (two monitors & a laptop). Highly recommend!!!

First, it buzzes. I dont know why but this thing sounds like it’s in pain. Second, the HDMI port requires a special deiver to install. Your Mac will see it as screen mirroring not another monitor. Good lock watchung content on a larger external monitor - it trips the protection and you get a black screen.

I bought this product instead of the HP docking station because it appeared to offer more features (SD card reader, iPhone charging) in addition to charging my laptop and being able to display to two monitors in addition to the laptop screen. This has been a disappointment. First, I had to buy the extra power cable for this. I bought a power cable with the exact specs on the packaging of this item (PD 3.1 140W Power In). With the highest rated power cord, it still only provides passthrough power, it will NOT charge your laptop. I have now learned the expensive way what "passthrough" power means. The result is that, if I leave the laptop plugged into the docking station using just the docking station power, my laptop leaks a little power overtime. If I start with a full charge in the morning, work all day, and don't shut it down overnight, the laptop will be dead by the morning. This is extremely frustrating. Do not buy this if you expect it to be able to charge your laptop. You will still need to simultaneously plug in your laptop using its own power cord and plug into the hub if you need to charge your laptop while working.

I purchased this for my work setup but unfortunately you need to install display driver software to use both the HDMI ports on this device. My work laptop doesn’t allow installation of this software so I’ll have to return it. I WISH the need to install this additional software for basic functionality was mentioned somewhere in the product description.

The j5create is a fantastic option for a docking station with all the required features, a must for those who use laptps and tablets, it is very functional, complete, and it even comes with a wireless charger!

Horrendous product. They don’t include a power adapter after paying a whopping 129$. It HAS to be their branded one to actually work consistently. Another 69$. To top that, you need a split mode, usb c mode that MAC Os comes with standard. Windows do not. So you can only use one HDMI port on windows with a VAST majority of windows systems. Horrible product. Not worth the hassle. The “stand” is cheap and doesn’t even lock in. Just wobbles loose.

This product is great if you are needing to connect multiple TV screens. It also has additional USB-A and USB-C connections which come in handy. It works with both MAC and Windows. I'm using this docking station to connect two HDMI Monitors and for the additional USB connections.

Bought this to run two monitors and some aux items, it works great for that. There is no power in cable, so I'm not sure how this is supposed to charge my phone using the wireless charger.

The item works as described. We have tried other docking stations, but they just would not work right with multiple display monitors with our HP laptop. This one works great. The only issue we had is that it does not have a power cable included. It really did not say on the box and the rep said it was included because it showed the cable on the product picture. When we unboxed at home, no cable. We had to make a separate purchase for the cable on a different day. We are pleased with the performance of this unit.

I just picked up the j5create USB-C Dual 4K HDMI Docking Station with 15W Wireless Charging in Space Grey, and it’s been a game changer for my setup. Works good so far. It needs to come with a power cord for the price I paid. Had to change my MAC setting for sound when using HDMI cable so I would have sound. Other than that, I still have to try hooking up printer, scanner, disk drive and flash drive.

It does what it’s supposed to do, but I found it awkward and a bit limiting because of its configuration. I’m sure it could work for others, but didn’t work for me so I traded it in for a product made by Belkin.

After several months the device now makes a slight hissing noise and the second monitor hdmi port no longer works. Very disappointed that I now have to go a purchase another solution for my Macbook. Not enough USB/C ports. Stand was not very sturdy and constantly came off. Cant really support the purchase of this to others and I am on the fence about purchasing another product from this company.

It works well and has lots of different ports. I hadn't realized until I set it up that it requires a software install on my computer - personal computer and work computer (which then needed approval and a system administrator to install).

So far no issues. It runs of the Apple mini pc…..with no power cord. I have 3 harddrives comnected to it and the pc recognizes them all. File trans is easy from drive to drive.

I'm currently using this product, and all ports except the 4k60hz port are working. I have a g16 Strix which BOTH usb ports supports Displayport-Alt, and I have downloaded the driver which is the j5 USB Display Adapter 22.01.0602.3179. Even after downloading this driver, only the 4k30hz port works. I've been attempting to find solutions but to no avail since j5create does not have any solutions posted online or on their website. I would suggest that you look for another product that has a properly working driver to support dual displays

It work well for my laptop and 2 monitors. I also purchase the 108W charger that plugs into unit and powers my laptop and can use the phone charging station.
