Good usb docking station

I set up a home office for my new job last year and was used to using a laptop with two other screens. I've been using this now for some time and love it! It was pretty easy to setup....I'm on a windows based unit for work. Definitely worth the money!

Works OK - Connection Became Loose Pretty Quickl
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did not take long for me to see that the connection became loose or the cord that connects to my USB-C port is just too sensitive to movement. A slight movement of my laptop on my desk will cause the connection to fail and my monitor will go black. I use with my Microsoft Surface Pro. I have not used the other ports on the docking station - only the one for HD and the regular one which I just go between depending on which one is not too sensitive to movement.

It was NOT exactly what I wanted and entirely overpriced for what I needed. I returned it before using and purchased a $10 splitter online.

It is technically two HDMI but not two 4K. YOu may need to use your computer HDMI that give a 4K resolution and this hub to get the other 4K. It does have other ports that come in handy. You can download the software from J5 website.

I recommend you consider the Passthrough Power, as many newer laptops are now using 65 watt power cords and this dock station only provides 60 watts. I recommend that you consider the JCD543 for just a little more.

However, the external keyboard and mouse USB must be connected to the computer rather than the dock. Also of note is that I bought the first dock in May and had to replace it in February because it quit working.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This works well, but it does not split into 3 separate scenes, which is what I needed it to do (1 on the laptop and 1 on each of the two monitors) it will split into one of the monitors, and then the other monitor mirrors the laptop screen. The clarity of the displays is very good though.

Posted .Under Display Settings, select Identify, then left-click on the box that you would like to make display setting changes for, i.e. box labeled "2", "3","2|3", etc. From the Display Settings, you will be able to change the Scaling, Resolution, Orientation, Multiple display mode of each of the displays.
