Companies will sometimes have security in place to prevent software from being downloaded and installed. I hope that you get the opportunity in the future to use the full functionality of the JCD381. If you are looking for a plug and play mini dock I would suggest the JCD383:

However, it rarely registers all my monitors on the first try, and I have to unplug and replug several times before everything connects properly. Then, any time my computer locks all windows move to one screen, and I spend time moving everything back to my extended monitors.

Okay for Windows, not for Macs

Tried working thru manufacture, but they would not help via email. Trying took me past the return date on this junk. Eventually They said I paid shipping both ways for them to examine it for workmanship or materials, for a fee.

Downloaded software didn’t work.

Purchased to create two monitors (different images) to on M1 Airbooks. Downloaded software, didn’t work. Asked my cybersecurity trained son, still didn’t work. I’m guessing the issue is that Apple changed it’s OS faster than the company updated it’s software…?
