Posted .Hi KEVG, thank you for purchasing the JCD383 device. Generally, adapters emit some heat as a normal part of its operation but the body should never become too hot to handle. The JCD383 has an aluminum housing, this is meant to conduct heat away from the internal parts, it can get warm because of that. If you have any concerns, please don't hesitant to give us a call or send an email. Respectfully, j5create.
