Not sure if it’s the cable or the Mac. If I unplug it and replug it the problem goes away, until the next time the screen goes to sleep.

Was able to adjust the display settings to get more accurate color. I don't think this would work if you were in a color-accurate setting [need hi sRGB or P3 color].

SERIOUSLY.... go buy best buy rocket fish HDMI to HDMI. you will Not regret it. I am very happy. the problem with computers is only one HDMI out put built in. I thought I could work around that with this stupid thing. I live and learn.
