The JCA379 is a plug and play adapter, you just need to ensure that you plug it into a USB-C port like a Thunderbolt 3 that supports video out. It also has a USB-A port and a USB-C charging port.

As with most USB-C hubs I think it's overpriced for what you get. This hub only needed to run a monitor, keyboard/mouse combo, so it gets the job done. There seems to be a slightly longer lag for the monitor to come on when using this hub compared to others that I use, but not a deal-breaker. If you just need a simple hub for a basic setup or for travel this will get the job done. No room for expansion, so if you see a need to hardwire your ethernet, printer, or a webcam you will need to look elsewhere.

This peripheral allows me the flexibility in need to add multiple devices and charge at the same time.
