According the the manfacturer we need a different model. We should have discussed with Geek Squad instead of the associate.

Didn't Function As Expected

My wi-fi ending up being faster. Also, dual HDMI connections didn't work to connect my two additional monitors. And, lastly, my USB connected cell phone wireless charger would continuously power up and power down. Therefore, I had to connect the USB directly to my laptop. I ended up finding another docking station which allowed EVERY connection to work properly and returned this poor device.

One HDMI

Unfortunately, their tech support is only open from 8 am to6 although their website claims to have a live chat but apparently only during those hours. Both my HDMI cords work as I have unplugged and plugged them into the device alternating the monitors. I downloaded their driver. I am forced to return this back to the store due to the lack of documentation or support for this device.

I tried every type it offers and only one HDMI port worked. Returning because its useless.

The docking station works without power, you just can't charge your laptop through it. I ordered the one with the power cord because I wasn't sure. I currently do not have it plugged in and it's working fine with my two additional monitors (plus laptop monitor) and keyboard. I'm not an IT expert but I believe you would only need power if your laptop charges via USB-C. Overall, I'm happy with it and setup was pretty easy. I did have to manually download the drivers to get both monitors working, but it wasn't bad at all.

Lots of issues with MacBook Pro

I followed all their instructions and even had one of their tech on the phone but I'm still having issues. I have 3 monitors. Sometimes 1 monitor just goes black then I have to finagle to fix, sometimes my Mac just freezes then unfreezes, and when I undock my Mac monitor does not display at all and I have to restart to fix. Cannot recommend this at all.
