Customers recognize the Wireless Display HDMI Extender as being easy to set up and use, with generally good picture quality. However, some users experienced inconsistencies in range and connection reliability, along with occasional lag. While many appreciate the extender's ability to transmit over distances, concerns were raised about the price and the product's long-term dependability.

So I got this for my basement. There's only one of 2 rooms in my basement that have a cable outlet in it. For the 2nd room I wanted TV and that's why I thought I'd try this out. The unit worked fine and was easy to set up. Took about 8 mins. Most of the time was changing positions of the tvs around so I could get behind them.
So my first con was I didn't notice that this wasn't 4K so the picture quality was about 720p at best and came in really dark even on my dynamic tv settings. I had it on a Samsung Q60 75". After about 3 days my Fire tv remote just stopped working. I replaced the batteries and still it wouldn't work. After some trouble shooting I realized it had become unpaired from my fire tv receiver. I purchased both the tv and fire tv about 5 month before buying this j5 never an issue from day one. I add this and 3 days later my remote just becomes unpaired. Also on the 4th day of having the j5 unit my tv started powering itself on, on it's own. I took the batteries out of both the tv and fire tv remotes and the tv still kept powering on. I unplugged the j5 receiver and the tv stopped powering on. Also when trying to use IR for the cable tv it took forever for the IR to finally understand whatever button you pushed. I had to be within 5 feet of the IR. But even then it was still really delayed. Just another con added to this product.
So needless to say this product didn't work for me and my tv set up. If you need it for one source possible outside, this may be just the thing for like a projector or something. I wouldn't suggest any tv with let's say apple tv or fire tv connected.

I got this to use for monitoring my security camera's remote from the main unit. It's OK... but fails from time to time and is not a clear as I would have hoped for.

I followed advice that said this was the best way to handle my situation. Takes a bit to react and it seems on cloudy days, there is some interference with the operation of getting the signal to where it needs to be.

Please repair the units again. Connect both units to a power adapter and stack them on top of each other. This is because they use NFC (Near-Field Communication) to pair. Once both units are on, press and hold the pair button on the back of the device (you may need a needle to push the button that is inside the hole) until both units’ lights are blinking. They will both flash red or orange, and finally green when they have been paired.

Easy setup basically plug and play. Somewhat disappointed in the devices keeping the connection. It disconnects at least once every other day and the devices are no farther thrn 10’ apart.

We purchased 2 of these units for our church auditorium. Both units worked reasonably well. One of the units experienced the occasional dropout (about 1 or 2 per service, lasting less than a second). That unit was in a metal cage holding a projector, close to the ceiling which has exposed metal pipes, so these may have contributed to the problem. We returned that one, the other (in a different place in the same large room) seems to be fine.
Its effectiveness is no doubt dependent on the room, so check it out thoroughly during the return period.

I’m using my extender to get my security cameras to my tv located in another room that’s not reachable by cable. I have the extenders 53’ apart and got a great connection initially for the first three days. Once I lost signal I was never able to regain it.

We're using this extender in an auditorium setting to connect cameras and projectors that are difficult to connect with HDMI cables, or too far away even for fiber optic HDMI cables. Setup is just a matter of connecting the power connector and connecting it to the signal source and destination devices. We're very satisfied with the reliability and the picture and sound quality.

These get the job done. But the range leaves room to improve, as well as the connection quality. It drops from time to time needing me to reset them. It would probably work better if they weren't going through walls.
